I own a 2015 DCT version of this bike in black. I've ridden through the mountains of Colorado and the flat roads of Florida. It's a bike you can enjoy to ride or just enjoy the ride. It's light, flicky, easy to ride, has cool options like the front trunk and underslung gas tank which puts all the weight down low. Honda has a way of engineering things rather than just copy catting what others have. I respect that phiosophy.

I can only encourage everyone to simply try the NC Bikes from Honda. I rode a NC750S for about 500km in Greece through the Peloponnes and was really surprised how good it actually rode. Nothing mindblowing, but on the small side roads where you constantly shift from 2-3-4-3-2 for hours, the DCT came in quite handy.😁

I bought a 2024 750X and it's my favorite of all the motorcycles I've owned. It does everything I need it to. Additionally, the parking brake is there because it defaults to neutral when the bike is off. I also heard the "half a jazz motor" thing was a myth too.

Hi from the uk I have a freind that has an early manual transmission version of this bike and after having had a ride on it all you can say is it works and is a pleasure to ride and of course it dose it's a honda I can only imagine the dct transmission has been well sorted, not my cup of tea but I recon it will be a big hit with the motorcycle couriers, just like howmany heavy goods vehicles have auto transmissions today

Very nice Video Miles. You never diasappoint. I rode the 23 model, a 750 DCT with 60hp, and the 14 700cc non DCT bike, basically the one you review without DCT. The new one with DCT just feels great and pulls well up to 150 kph. The one without DCT though, it revs to 6k rpm, and you always run into the redline coming out of corners. With DCT its a really great bike, best commuter there is. Fun in the twisties, due to the continuos pull. And its great to daily with the luggage compartment that can hold a full size helmet, or grocerys for one person. Especially the newer 750. But with manual it just is no fun at all. So get it with the DCT if you want one. Dont be fooled by low priced offers of the manual one. It just sucks.

ive tried the nc700 and for me it was very strange to get used to not having a clutch lever when i come to a full stop, but thats me not being used to dct. for a daily driver front getting to point A to B in a city its a very good bike, cheap, automatic, keeps up with traffic with ease

The idea of a DCT from most manufacturers scares me from a reliability standpoint. I had a VW multivan and it was shit in that. But I do trust Honda to get it right.
@DrNerfКүн бұрын
This was my first bike, but the manual version. Very reliable, easy to ride, comfortable, practical and efficient. However, it feels gutless after 100km/h. If you're doing a lot of highway riding, this would feel pretty annoying.

A lot of reviews focus on the DCT aspect of the NC line and that's fine but IMO the manual is a gem to ride. It has all the benefits of a scooter - great fuel economy, storage space, etc, but it's still a conventional motorcycle that's just as fun as anything else out there (and it's a LONG STROKE engine! so many bikes today are bore over stroke, which feels stressed out. Sitting at 130 kph in 4000 RPM on a 700 is pretty amazing).

I rode from Queensland Australia (which is the north) to the south in Melbourne without ANY problems and it was comfortable, and then I commuted in the city on it for years great bike.

Are the bars narrow to allow easy lane-splitting? I’m not sure what you mean by “weird”.
@FreeMilesMCКүн бұрын
Yes most likely they are for that reason. It’s just you don’t really have good leverage on them and they feel unusual
@g4m3rm0j0Күн бұрын
I use counter steering on this bike and keep my butt planted in the center of the seat. I am 6' tall so it's not uncomfortable to push the inside of the bar. They do have a slightly wide feel with the upright seating position of the bike.

a family member has this bike from 2017, its...well, a scooter. very economical (3,5l/100km), very well buil, reliable, only downside is a very agricultural engine, vibrates and sounds bad, its like a tractor engine. and no shifting is weird but it makes sense. its almost the price of a honda forza 350 but u get almost double horsepower. id always choose a nc750x over a maxiscooter, maxiscooters are way overpriced for 25-30-35 hp they make. overall a nice bike but with zero passion, as a commuter its great.
@kevindarkstar21 сағат бұрын
I don't agree on the engine sound as it's a 270 degree cross plane engine and with a change in exhaust can it sounds like a V-twin 😊

Yeah. They used some of the parts of the Jazz, I think the piston and parts of the crankshaft are the same.

Strange you have a 700 as it was replaced by the 750 in 2014 as we are in 2024 how come you are not focused on the new model, oh yeah and the whole 'half a jazz engine' myth is not actually true, the car divisions of honda did work on the design with the bike side, but tho there are some similarities like in the valve gear, it's not a cut in half car engine
