Every 4th game of mine I get collabs/cheaters , they act the same way as this orange and purple except that I play with fog . Here is my humble opinion on this situation : the devs can easily fix this anomaly by many fixes and one of them could be just tweaking match making into "blind" : you pick your setting including map and hit "search" and the server will do the rest.

There's a phenomenon in chess where lower rated players panic and play way below their level, aiming for draws when a win is possible, just because they're afraid of making a mistake and losing a winning position. I get the feeling that your - for lack of a better word - paranoia about cheating might affect you in a similar way. Not to say it isn't justified, your high profile obviously will attract trolls and stream snipers etc. And I don't even know if it makes you play any worse. But I do think the content suffers. It makes me sad to see you get mad about something you can't control, or even identify with any certainty. This game was suspicious, for sure. But not inexplicable. I think best practice is to implement all the countermeasures you can, but default to an assumption of fair play beyond that. Report for suspicion, but try not to let it eat at you. I'm sure some viewers enjoy the rage, but I really just like to see you having fun more than anything.

It could be collab. No doubt about that. But also they could’ve accepted alliances early with each other and then agreed to attack red. Notice how they both put out alliance requests right away? After all, these ARE the negotiation settings.
