It definitely helps to have your guitar tuned to Eb for this tune. In standard tuning, the 3rd chord is a 1st position barred F(add 9). And it is quite a stretch to get the pinky finger to the 5th fret while barring the 1st, unless you've got Holdsworthian hands. Back in the 80's when I used to cover it, I found it helped to keep the neck of the guitar closer to my left side, which gave the left hand fingers a better angle to stretch out.
