I don’t see anything wrong with accepting back either. I wouldn’t necessarily say everybody deserves a second chance but some do.

In my first relationship, I knew I didnt want to be in it. I didnt feel the right connection with him and I was never really happy. I never got the courage to break up with him because I was too afraid that it would be the wrong decision. I dragged it out for several years and it was one of my biggest regrets. The relationship got extremely toxic, always flip flopping between being okay with each other to screaming and crying. In the end, he ended it for a coworker and I am very happy for him. For the first time in a long time, I finally felt like myself. This was one of the hardest and most important lessons I have learned.
