I have a few questions about the fit, the ring connecting the noseband straps. Should it be right on the cheek? Also are the rings stainless steel or brass? Ot are they zinc and subject to rust? Lastly, I looked at the store, and many of the browbands I would want are out of stock, will there be more anytime soon? I need to measure my mare before ordering.

My first time seeing you. I have never been comfortable using bits. E Since childhood I have believed them to be cruel, and as I aged I realized that Bits were also unnecessary for handling a horse. I believe those that use bits do so to ensure they can CONTROL the horse thru Deliberate Pain/Torture. I will never again mount with a bit. I Love your concerns for your horse's Comfort. I am the same way. Thank You😍💕

I so agree with you on the bit less bridle. I rode western when I was younger and we always used shank bits. But recently got back into riding and bought a beautiful 27 year old young Arabian. He was always ridden in a snaffle, but seeing you and other trainers switching to bitless, I knew I wanted to ride bit less as well. He transitioned so beautifully into the side pull bridle. With he snaffle it hurt his teeth and he fought his previous owner whenever she tried to it on. But with bit less bridle he is so happy he literally puts his head into bridle himself when I tack him up. Thank you so much for sharing your horses and expertise. It has definitely helped me in my horse journey.😊

As someone who owned a horse way before bitless bridles became popular, and before gentling became a thing; I just want to say how honored I feel to live in a time where we now consider how what we do affects these animals. That we are conscious of the fact that how we treat them matters. I remember bridling my horse when I was a kid. The bit would clank into his teeth and I would just feel so horrible! When I would mention how uncomfortable that must be for them, nobody seemed to care! I am so ecstatic and grateful that that is no longer the case!

My current lesson horse is also a morgan cross (and the same color!) and he was ridden in a hackamore for his entire life at a dude ranch. Because it was bitless, they thought they could pull as hard as they wanted on his face and nothing would be detrimental for him. He now has permanent nerve damage in his face, and can't be ridden in a bit because it hurts him. I ride him in a bitless sidepull, and he enjoys that a lot more. It's helped me focus on my seat a lot more.

She has the best place possible to end her years; wonderful care, love and still much needed in many roles. Warms my heart greatly. And regarding the bridals, you clearly have done a lot of research and of course have first hand knowledge for the betterment of all horse's. So proud for you. I love your relationship with your horses, the time you take with them to bring them along is heartwarming. I wish show jumpers could go bitless, some of the falls must do a lot of damage to the horse's mouth. You are so knowledgable about the bitless bridle, you should have some clinics, there are people who need to learn how to develop the relationship with their horses that you have.

Nice to learn about bitless bridles, i had NO idea there were so many varieties or about the mechanics of the fitting. I used to ride a mare who was very bit sensitive and would pull her tongue up over the bit often, I wish I'd known more about bitless back then because I think she would have responded really well to them. And Bagheera! What a sweet model she is! She really looks amazing for 30, I wouldn't peg her for too much over 20 (probably around 23-24) if I saw her in passing. Keeping active into your golden years really is good for horses and people. Lovely madame Bagheera is a stunning example of that. ♥

I ❤ that you are teaching people about bit less bridles. I find it hard to watch people ride in movies or on videos because so many people are causing real pain and sometimes permanent harm to horses mouths. I’m fine with proper bits in proper light hands but you see that far too rarely. I could ride and control a young very spirited thoroughbred completely bridle less. I never took her out of pasture without it but our pastures were hundreds of acres. I could run her flat out and stop just as quickly as with a bridle. Training! And trust and respect.
