Alpha MRC, thank you! I do enjoy creating KZbin content and flying, and mr. Jan M. Berg (the guy flying this awesome little jet) has truly become a great pilot. Cheers!😁👍

Blew me away🤩. Could you share your lipo specs, cg, and are you using a gyro.
@janmb4 жыл бұрын
Use 6S 4400 in this one. Don't have the exact cg, but 10-15mm further aft than manual calls for pretty much. Start off with manual recommendations and work your way back in baby steps - don't take too big bites :D I use a jeti receiver with integrated gyro in this model.

Awesome flight!!! Can you tell me your throws please? Ailerons elevator and rudder 🙏🏻🙏🏻😉
@RCTommy5 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Arthur. I will get the pilot for you to see if he can answer your question. Cheers! 😊👍
@janmb5 жыл бұрын
I honestly don't recall, but there might be a chance for some flying this weekend, so will try to measure for you. Roughly speaking, manual low rate for elevator, and manual low rate minus a tad for aileron. On rudder I have quite a bit of throw, since I use it a lot during high alpha flying, which means low speed, and very little air passing over that surface.
@ArthurRC5 жыл бұрын
janmb all riiiiiight that’s what I thought, I always use FW low rates for my high rates 😂
@janmb5 жыл бұрын
@@ArthurRC Yeah if you start off by that, you should be fine. One thing to keep in mind is to be picky on the cg. Manual cg is, as usual, a bit nose heavy, so if combining nose heavy with low rates, you can potentially run out of elevator during landing. I started with book cg, but have ended up about 15-20 mm aft from that. Be sure to take that one step at a time though.

Awesome video and flight. This is the best FW Mirage video on YT. I see a lot of rudder deflection in the high alpha turns. Are you using much aileron? Looks very controlled but also like it could roll over at any moment. What is is the technique you are using?
@RCTommy4 жыл бұрын
Shareif Eisa, Sorry, I totally missed this comment. I’ll make sure to ask the pilot next time I speak to him. And thank you for your comment, cheers! 😁👍
@janmb4 жыл бұрын
Hi Shareif, and thanks! The turning technique is exactly as you said: Rudder is the primary control used for actually turning the model, and opposite aileron is used to keep the model from banking too much. You want very little bank when turning in slow, high alpha flight.
@shareifeisa4 жыл бұрын
@@janmb Thanks for the info. I just got into EDFs last year and have been eyeing the Mirage.
@ArthurRC5 жыл бұрын
Awesome flight !!!!! Can you tell me how many wires have to be plugged in receiver (2 ailerons, 1 rudder, 1 retract, 1 edf so 5 channels????) And did you use flaps with a mixing flaperons but it looks impossible because there are only ailerons?!?
@janmb5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! 5 channels is all you need (2x elevons, 1 rudder, gear and throttle). In my case 6 (got nose wheel steering on a separate channel) Flaperons not possible on a plain delta (since it would be the same as negative elevator = pitch down)
@ArthurRC5 жыл бұрын
janmb all right that’s all I thought so that’s perfect 👌🏻 thanks a lot !!! And with a 6S 5000 how long can she fly???
@janmb5 жыл бұрын
@@ArthurRC I'm using 4400mah. Gives about 3:30-4 minutes depending on how hard I fly

beautiful flight .what is your camcorder?
@RCTommy4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. For this video I used a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2000/FZ2500 (set to 1080p60fps@100mbps) paired with a RØDE VideoMicro microphone and a Manfrotto monopod with fluid head and base for stabilization. I also use Vegas Pro 16 to edit paired with the built in stabilizer functions for a more stable shot. Cheers! 😎
