@@Wonderlvnd The opponent could just toxic on the switch and force Ditto in again, which is then punishable by switching into Kyogre for a free Water Spout. Also, ditto takes spike damage, so it would heal to 62, then on switch get hurt to 37. All the while Gliscor is healing back to full.

Why not go ditto against gliscor using toxic? It barely lived spikes anyway and could have prevented another poke from being poisoned

I was thinking the same thing. I guessed it was either because he didn't want to be locked into protect or simply didn't think about it. It could've been a winning move as it keeps ditto healthy enough copy Kyogre later, which gives him a way to handle Gliscor

Gliscor could take that opportunity to heal back up to full. Ditto only have 5 PP when scarf locked. Sure, Ditto could heal up to 62% after using all 5 PP, but so could Gliscor. The healing is also diminished by the fact that it’s actually 37% due to spike damage and advantage goes to Gliscor since it can toxic on struggle switch out. Also, being able to punish Ditto switch in with Kyogre. It’s a good play, but it doesn’t really put him in a better position. But if I’m honest, other than missing it, Freezai probably doesn’t want to play a long game of stall since he’s recording and that would be boring to watch.

I’m nowhere near as good a player as freezai and never would be, but didn’t it feel like he second guessed himself with the Hawlucha against Gliscor? Felt like the better play would’ve been to brave bird and take out Gliscor and anything else coming in, leaving him with a 4 v 2? If i’m misunderstanding why he changed his play someone please explain
