One random battle moment i am especially proud of was when i played my opponent in such a way where the final 1v1 was my trace gardevoir vs their storm drain tatsugiri...early on when i saw that tatsugiri i knew i wanted to preserve gardevoir so i did everything i could to make it happen....really satisfying even just for a random battle

Maybe because the yawn works like real life? Like yawning is contagious from sight, watching someone yawn makes you want to yawn too, making you sleepy? And I guess the substitute doll doesn't have eyes.

​@@amongsus9322ok but sometimes it really is the sound of the yawn that makes others sleepy, and even if the substitute doll is blind, the fact that sound moves bypass it means the sound component of the yawn should bypass sub, making the pokemon behind sub drowsy

I couldn't care for the anime or any form of the rpgs because ya that's for marketing purposes. One thing i learned that i dont like is that a status move will fail on a pokemon if the pokemon is dark or becomes dark through terra and the status move is boosted by prankster. Popped out Klefki and had it use Thunderwave on the Sceptile only to have it not work because it used Terra Dark

Yep, that's the random battles calculator (chrome extension). It tells you what possible sets (moves, items, abilities) the opposing Pokemon have, as well as a damage calculator which gives you a damage range for each attack on any opposing Pokemon. I'd really recommend it. There are also other extensions that will tell you the type weaknesses of each Pokemon, and you can see Freezai uses this too

I still around 1600ish and the people I play in 1600 are usually worse than the 1000's i play on alt accounts if Im not home.

in my experience there's noticeable bumps in difficulty around 1500 and 2000 so i'd say 1000-1500 is low, 1500-2000 is mid and 2000+ is high, but it's pretty common to tilt like crazy or get stuck so it doesn't mean you're a bad player if you're low

The player at 27:00 is so frustrating because it's the worst type of low ladder player. Starts off by making plays that make no sense but all of a sudden develop some brain power and start switching.

Can you change the end rules for the tournament timer, so all games started before the timer ends are counted for final rankings? The current system rewards top players to spam games right at the end to simply waste the time of as many people as possible. By making it count any game that is started before the end of the timer, you force an interesting trade-off for all top players. Do you sit on your LP and hope you have enough, or do you open up some matches for last second gains? And if you do take matches, how many can you handle before the end, and how many of those can you win? It would make the final hour(s) way more interesting and would sidestep the claims of BM from top 6'ers stalling out games to deny last-second upsets.
