This would be insanely unbalanced, but imagine running both Uras to hit both types of walls for incredibly high damage. With trick room/tail wind these 2 would just turn into the destroyers of everything that’s not a steel type capable of dodging ground moves. It would be hell to set up, but once it is-there’s little to stop you.

Sadly, in most formats, you can only bring one species of mon. For example, you can use Gardevoir and Gallade despite evolving from the same mon since they're different ones, but you can only use one Basculegion form despite being different mons.

Alright what do you think of this: I have two proposals to buff Tinkaton Proposal 1: Give it Huge Power and have Gigaton Hammer work Like Red Blue Yellow Hyper Beam (maybe also lower the attack by 5-10 points for balancing) Proposal 2: Buff it’s Attack stat to around 105-130 and give it an ability to Have it’s Hammer Moves Bypass Resistance as well as boosting their power by 1.3x

the way it's stats are spread makes me think it's was made to counter the heavy amount of physical attackers that are being used right now. it's bulky enough to tank any most attacks and then hit them back on there weaker special side. Also i don't know the story of how this pokemon exist but if it survives by fighting other Ursaluna it makes sense why it is 2 base speed higher.

Even if Corvi can take on both stabs, u can EV the Luna to be Slower than Corvi, and catch it with Earth Power on the roost. That’s more costly tho, as Bloodmon is considerably frailer than regular Luna, but that is only in the Sp.Def, where Corvi can’t hit you

Well Bloodmoon’s special bulk is significantly lower than that of regular Ursaluna, which has several implications for its tanking capability. Combined with similar physical bulk, more optimized attacking stats and even lower speed for TR, regular Ursaluna just has a lot of advantages that BM Ursa just can’t seem to compete against. The bulk case is also a major reason Corviknight outclassed Skarmory

One thing to note is that Ursaluna isn’t able to outspeed Great Tusk at +1 with Adamant, while Bloodmoon Ursaluna barely can with Modest, which I find funny. But the bigger advantage for Bloodmoon is that it can free its item slot and isn’t taking constant chip damage. Meanwhile Bloodmoon can heal itself with moonlight, making it much harder to really deal with. Oh and it also gets priority with Vacuum Wave, something regular Ursaluna wishes it had.

Don’t worry about the time it takes. Mark my words-this mon is terrible. Gaining speed hurts under TR and means it gets bodied by hands and Ursuline. The offense is FAR worse than ursaluna since it doesn’t have guts and facade is the same BP as its signature move anyway. Plus, this thing has exactly 2 coverage options-moonblast and focus miss. This is a terrible mon

It seems like it doesn't even get moonblast. They are overrating this thing. Gets shut down by Corv, phazed/ruination by Ting Lu, Valiant/Gambit and other powerful attackers will still deal a lot of damage on it, it's super weak to spikes

I think you forgot to mention one of regular luna's key strengths. Spore immunity. Amoonguss is an amazing trick room counter since it can underspeed and spam spore but thanks to guts+flame orb physical luna doesn't need to worry about this. You could run goggles to deal with this but then you're losing out on damage Also a minor point is ting lu vs wo chein. While wo chein is a better standard luna counter than ting lu is a blood moon counter due to grass typing, ting lu isn't a bad pokemon like wo chein and so having your main attack stat and 1 of your stabs disrupted by ting lu which can then ruination you down hurts it a bit (not an issue rn since ting lu has fallen off a bit but it could see more use if blood moon becomes popular)

A Calm Mind tank with recovery that is bulky enough to set up in your face and then sweep you back to front… that doesn’t have to worry about recovery… I do think a Blood Moon/Calm Mind/Moonlight/Flex Move would be really good. There is counterplay of course but, I think you can be creative with that fourth slot, especially considering Tera Blast is a thing.

I just don't see it going anywhere nearly as much as regular Ursaluna did. Ursaluna was this ridiculous perfect storm of well-distributed stats, Guts and STAB Facade, Ground-type Close Combat, and great Trick Room speed. Bloodmoon is literally worse at all of these things because its primary attacking stat is lower, its ability doesn't boost it, it'll be trading Headlong Rush for Earth Power, its new signature move is basically just worse than STAB Active Facade because it's the same base power but with a downside, and it's slower than regular Ursaluna so it loses out to its cousin in Trick Room. Like... it might not be *bad*, but I don't expect it to be taking the meta by storm. If mashing go on a really strong Scrappy Normal-type move were meta-breaking, Exploud would be in Ubers, and we're not in that timeline.

getting a 0 Speed Ursaluna isnt that hard to be honest, a friend of mine got it after an hour or so while i got it after 5 resets, just have a pokemon in lead with a speed stat of 79, if you outspeed ursa itsalmost guaranteed to have 0IV in speed if it doesnt roll a -speed nature

If the pokemon is feasible through some means of RNG manipulation or sheer luck to be captured and is using the abilities and moves avaible to it on its stat sheet then its not havked its generated the only difference between using a program to get it and doing it manually is the amount of time it takes

It's understandable to want to call it something different, optics wise, but referring to genned mons as "hacked" is just common vernacular. Cause like, realistically they are "hacked" since it's using a third party software to manually add them in, but I get why it's just better to say genned or generated instead. I 100% stand by as well that genning isn't bad at all and think it's weird how some are so adamantly against the idea of saving time raising comp-viable pokemon just cause someone didn't spend 2 weeks doing menial grinding just to go home 17th place at a local tournament

I'd argue hacking is done to give you an advantage of some kind whilst genning just allows those with less time/money to be on an equal playing field to those with an excess a.lunt of time and money or clout (streamers who have an entire army of people to help them get their comp teams) and puts everyone on an equal playing field Just from watching I'm a blissy videos and seeing the ABSURD amount of time and money he needs to spend on getting 1 TEAM is crazy and what changed my mind about referring to it solely as genning vs hacking

This isn't anything new. Plenty of modern fighting games have DLC characters in tournaments, and in Pokemon's case it's not nearly as bad as it used to be. Pre-DLC era you NEEDED to fork out for another game if they released a new game mid generation (ORAS,USUM etc.), no way around it. At least here you can feasibly trade (or whatever else) for a Blood Moon Ursaluna without paying.

The only decently safe type coverage against its STAB is Flying/Rock or Flying/Steel, but the only mons that fit that typing don't have the right stat distributions or movepools to really serve as a proper counter.

it's completely overpowered. it has vacuum wave to overcome its speed stat and pretty much nothing can tank a hit from it other than corviknight and bronzong. It is also guaranteed to live a hit from just about anything. A +2 base 135 earthquake from dragonite only does 40% to this beast

It only has one ability, but it's basically Keen Eye + Scrappy + ignores opponent's evasion changes. So your milage may vary on whether or not Flare Boost would be preferable.

did some maths for you: the odds for a 0atk/0spd blood moon ursa are 1/5120 (1/5 chance to get a viable spread of perfect IVs, then two 1/32s for the 0IVs) worse than a full odds shiny

It's stats are good but a bit disappointing... regular Ursaluna, no matter what way you slice it, works out to be bulkier because it's massive 130 HP stat alongside higher SPD & comparable DEF. So because Blood Moon effectively has less bulk and still has shit speed it won't be hard imagining something being able to take it out.
