Just came out of the mountains in San Diego. 4000 feet. 28° at night and snow flurries in the morning. Wow, ran out of propane at 10 PM. Another lesson for me, the unprepared camper.

Look into the owner's manual about keeping your diesel heater clean. My friends say it must be cleaned (disassembled) about once a year. Look into it. Thanks for your videos.

I am totally in favor of global warming. I hate the long, cold winters in Vail, Colorado, where I live. So a year ago I began focusing on increasing my carbon footprint. Thus far I have raised the average daily temperature in Colorado by 4 degrees. I will continue increasing my carbon footprint until I can grow palm trees in my yard. I am thankful I live in a free country!

It was cold even down in Tucson where hubby and I just spent a few days vacationing. Glad to say we loved the Pima Air & Space Museum. Many thanks for that video you did weeks back on your own visit Russ. You really know where to go and what to see! I was thrilled to see the Lockheed SR-71 in person. Oh it really was cold in Tucson with hard freezes two nights this week. High was around 50-54 while we were there. Chilly for that location. Also went to the Desert Museum but it was so cold a lot of the animals were not out on view. Thanks again Russ!

Hey Russ, happy Thursday! That diesel heater looks like a must-have for boondocking. The coldest night I ever spent tent camping was in Death Valley, It was 19 degrees overnight -- the water inside my ice chest froze! Looks like you're really upping your drone game with the Mavic 3--I see it has a Hasselblad Camera, very cool! The population drop in Quartzsite is pretty surprising, I have to think it was pandemic related. Hopefully people will come back now that things are getting back to normal (more of less). Happy trails!

I have you all beaten, I'm sleeping in -40 / -44 Farenhight. Yep, you read that right, I am on night 4. I don't use a heater. Just run the car in the morning to get up and just before bed. Nothing but my blankets and my body heat. I'm also Canadian and borderline insane. 🤪

I am a true RVer , I am currently living in my 2006 Chrysler town and country turned into an RV and it's a lot more expensive living in your vehicle than one might think mainly because I don't have a refrigerator stove or really the space to keep food , I am limited on the food I can keep and cook , I use a percolator for my coffee and for heating up water , for my heat source I use a torch and torch tip and to keep warm in the winter time I use a USB heater and run the van at idle off and on and my van surprisingly it will hold it's heat for around 3 hours at a time depending on how cold it is outside, as far as parking I ether park at work a friend's house or you can park at facilities that offer parking, I shower at a friend's house or go pilot and grab one for around 13 bucks it sounds expensive but a shower is well worth it plus I can do laundry at the same places. When I was living in my tow truck 5 years ago I just wore my clothes and when dirty I threw them away and bought more that's when it really gets expensive but I'm actually working a new job now I did the tow truck living for a whopping 13 years but that's a good example on how I'm living take care fellow RVers

centigrade to Fahrenheit, conversion, double whatever the temperature in centigrade and add 30 and that will give you a ballpark figure for Fahrenheit temperature

For Fahrenheit, double the temp and ad 30 it's within a couple of degrees, 20C x 2=40+30=70F actually about 68. The hotter it gets, the bigger the difference.

Yup. Carbon Monoxide detector in all motorized RVs. Even ones without gas utilities. They're cheap. Even free sometimes.
