Freezer meals great! We freeze massive amounts of meat in two upright freezers in our basement. We buy meat on sale, and in bulk. Repackage and freeze. Has saved so much money over the years! Love your videos!

Hi Robin - I bet you are happy to have your freezer drawers repaired. I have always wanted something like that. Maybe I’ll get one in my next house. HA! I have a fridge with French doors at the top and the freezer on the bottom too. I am trying to get my freezer more empty for hurricane season but it seems to be getting more full. My freezer has two drawers on top where I keep bread items in one side and pecans, almonds, walnuts and other things in the other side. I have bins in the bottom. One side for veggies/fruits and the other side for meats. One thing I do with ground meat is when I get home from the store I put the ground meat in a gallon size ziplock baggie and flatten it out where it fills up the bag but is only about half to one inch wide. I can stand this up like a file plus the meat thaws out super fast when I take it out to thaw. I take lots of things out of the original box like the Pillsbury pie crust and ice cream bars. I put them in a bag and fit them in all kinds of small spaces. My ice is in the door so I dont have to worry about that. The only time I feel like I need a bigger freezer is a Christmas when I have whole cakes in there etc. Thanks for this video. I always love spending time with you. You have become a sweet friend not to mention a sister in Christ.

Thank you for confirming to me that I never want this style of fridge freezer! Some family members have them, and they are chaotic. I was thrilled to see your plan to organize, and you did a great job! But I will not trade my side by side fridge freezer where I can see where things are at a glance. I also don't have to worry about visiting children opening the freezer drawer to stand on it so they can reach into the fridge. One family member had that problem. I enjoyed the process you used!

Would love to see some freezer meals. Thanks so much, Robin. This was helpful because I’ve been having some difficulty keeping our cavernous freezer organized. It is like your extra one, but just 8 yrs. old. Recently, my husband took that divider out, because I was so frustrated with it. He actually had to get some tools to cut it out! Now it is better, and I will check on the target storage containers. Thanks for doing all the research!

This is a project that has been on my radar for a few weeks now, so I was happy to see this video pop up because I knew it would motivate me. I'm off to Target in the morning to get my "corralling bins", which look like they will be a good fit in my freezer too. That is just one area I struggle to keep well organized (we have french style too) and it makes meal planning more challenging when I constantly lose track of what we have. Thanks for sharing!

Remove the partition in the freezer at the bottom of your fridge. Your bins will then fit well.

Yes! I always love your freezer meals. I have no good tips…we have a chest freezer (smaller one) in our garage which is horrible to dig around in. I do keep things separated in bins stacked one on top of another so I don’t lose something in the great abyss but it’s hard to use. I usually use it for long term storage or multiple items and my inside drawer pull out freezer for short term items.

I have the typical freezer on top that has an ice cube tray area and a couple of wire rack shelves. This doesn't give the freezer much large areas for storing large bags of vegetables. Maybe I'll try using some bins. Everytime I open the freezer I realize how crumbs have collected on the bottom. Your use of the vacuum seems like the best solution. Thanks for some ideas to make this area more functional.

Hi Cynthia! Those freezers can be tricky too. I saw someone use magazine holders for making use of the vertical space. That might work if you can find ones that are the right height. 😄💗💕

Awesome video! My freezer is next on my list. 😊 Someone made a video using Faultless iron cleaner to get the residue off of a curling iron and it worked great on mine. It might work on those tiny rust spots if it bothers you. (It wouldn’t bother me.😂)
