Pro tip...if costco had 6.00 off ANYTHING...you buy the smallest packs...and get multiples. So your dollars off go further per pound than if you buy the heaviest option! It can really add up to alot of savings depending on the packages out there! ( some days they are all the same though)

Appetizer that my mom made years ago. Slice Pepperoncini in half lengthwise and remove any seeds and membrane ribs. Fill with Cream Cheese or a flavored Cream Cheese, press closed. Wrap with Salami or Pepperoni and secure with a toothpick.

We love the meatball subs here. Our go to is Walmart's "steak rolls" as they are perfectly sized for our family. They are super cheap and we use them a lot for sandwiches regularly. Our Costco sells Hawaiian Rolls in 32 count. This worked perfect for our family to make 4 pans of 8 rolls each. Typically, I would do 12 and have leftovers.

I'll have to look for steak rolls!

@@FreezerMeals101 at our Walmart they are labeled as Freshness Guaranteed French Steak Rolls. They sell the 8 Count for $2.88 USD or the 24 count for $4.88 USD! We often buy the big one and then just keep some out for sandwiches and freeze the rest. Works out great for things like the meatball subs!

Two things you can do to prevent a “dry” or tough turkey meatloaf. 1 add a handful of Parmesan cheese(from the can) 2 add a splash of olive oil. Gotta say tho my favorite way is to add finely chopped, sautéed mushrooms. To this one I add lots of sage. And or poultry seasoning.Tastes like thanksgiving!

Great meals in this video! I'm going to try a bunch. And I love that you include single serving suggestions for so many reasons! I'm in Denver, Colorado and we are feeling the chill of Fall here! I like a lot of things from Costco. Too many to list. Mostly Italian foods in bulk. But one of my fav things to buy there is Pork Tenderloin. Very affordable and you can make chops or roasts or shred for Chimichangas or BBQ Pulled Pork, or dice it up to make Green Chili. Watch out for their Deli Made Dinners that look so good. They can really run up your bill. Make them from scratch. Save money. Learn your price values. It really helps!

I love pork tenderloin too! With a bit of imagination, you really can do so much with Costco. 😊

I really like how you add picture of finished dishes it’s so nice, what is pinear? Like tofu or something… I shop Costco all the time those buns are wonderful it was nice to get idea for them when not going threw that many all at once. I do have a question about the one meal the Monte Cristo, basically those are made with French toast or you take the sandwich and drip it in egg same end result. Are you dipping or putting egg on the dish before baking for a traditional M-C. I will be making it your way but maybe add bacon have a more club sandwich looks amazing btw
@FreezerMeals101 Жыл бұрын
Paneer is a whey product so it's similar to cheese. It doesn't have a strong flavor so it's kind of like tofu in that it just takes on the flavor of the sauce it's in. For the Monte Cristo Sliders, we just cooked them and ate them as they were, no egg like the traditional sandwiches.

I love to go to an Indian restaurant near me. Love their curry!! Last time I ordered a new appetizer. Paneer coated in a chickpea batter. It was so good. I’d never had paneer before. They served it with their tamarind chutney for dipping. I love this chutney with their chicken korma curry and basmati rice. I’ll be looking for the paneer at Costco💗

Just out of curiosity, can you let us know what you spend on your mega freezer meals that last about 3 months??? That would be helpful information for your KZbin family..
@FreezerMeals101 Жыл бұрын
We find that since prices where we are (Alberta, Canada) are so different than they are in the United States (or even some other parts of Canada) that it's not been very informative to share our dollar amounts. The other issue we've run into with our calculations is that twice a year, our local grocery store runs their Caselot Sale at the same time as their 15% off days, so we stock up then and use some of that during our mega sessions for months to come so it makes it fairly impossible to calculate accurately. We do have a general ballpark but a lot of factors affect it.

Sharla and Christie- I’ve looked over the red sauce recipe several times. Looks like it makes up quite a bit. I’m wondering how many recipes for 4-6 people does it usually accommodate?
@FreezerMeals101 Жыл бұрын
It's a lot! Lol. I haven't sat down and calculated it but it fills Sharla's stock pot almost to the brim. So it would make at least 2 1/2 ish gallons!! GALLONS!!! Some recipes will call for four cups, some for only two cups so it's hard to generalize but for arguments sake, let's say it's four cups. That will make around 12 meals. More if your recipe calls for only one or two cups of red sauce. It freezes well too, so sometimes we'll freeze it in quart sized bags and use it for pizza sauce or dipping sauce. That's a great question! Thanks for watching!

I really wish there was a follow-up video showing what these recipes looked like after they each cooked them, what they added at the end or sides that went with it, and if their cooking methods were different or the same. Just generally seems fascinating to me 😅

I love enough things from Costco to keep my membership, but overall, my bulk purchases actually come from Azure Standard. I've had a hard time finding some of the things I buy in bulk at Costco (like Oats, I wanted a 50 lb bag, and the biggest they have is a Quaker oats box with two 5 lb sacks in it. If I were to buy 5 of those boxes I would have paid more than triple!). So I am very aware of what I buy from them. Regarding the friendliness of the patrons: I recently had surgery on my leg and for about 2 months was non-weightbearing, then after that I was allowed to stand on it, but for limited amounts and so on. I still had some shopping to do though, so I went to the Costco with whichever family member was designated my helper that day (future DIL one day, hubby another) and I was in one of those SLOW drivable carts. The day my hubby went along, he ran to grab something we'd forgotten while I was finding the next item on the list, in the refrigerated section.... I hadn't thought of the fact that the refrigerator doors swing OUT. Or that the refrigerated areas where meats are are too high to just reach in, etc. Anyway, people have been so sweet to offer help when they see me struggling. It definitely restores some faith in humanity.
