I’m not sure if you can ,but I know this Detroit diesel has critical national back order of the water pump.The tractor sat for three weeks until we got the new water pump. If that operation was available we probably would have been told By Detroit parts I hope.

My water pump isn't leaking, but there's metal flakes in my coolant. Does that mean it's going bad?

What if I just swapped the water pump and take the old clutch to the new pump? Saves 500$ 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

If the clutch was still operational couldn't you have just swapped over the clutch assembly to a new water pump? Assuming if thats even an option I think it would have been a lot cheaper then getting the whole new $1000 assembly with new clutch no? Not raging just curious is all.

Its usually the speed sensor on the pump that throws a code. You can buy just the sensor.

I get to do this in a motel parking lot in the morning I got the pump I paid 950 will get back over 300 for the core. Mine has a leak and is growling.

I’m going to guess that it leaked coolant when you removed the water pump because you drained the coolant from under the radiator. Last time I replaced my water pump I only drained coolant from the side of the engine.

Most don't realize there is a drain on the block. Driver side below filter housing

How do you tighten (and the torque) the belt at the end? And is it a good Idea to replace the belt too?

Why replace the water pump? Why not the rubber gasket only?

Because the water leaking out of the weep hole not the seal.
