What about the sensor that is supposed to be plugged into it? Is this the water pump that has the clutch? They're charging me 1500 for a water pump. Is this there? Doesn't include labor.

Is 2015 Cascadia dd15 water pump same location? I have a leak on my truck driver side like this video but when I look the coolant is leaking close to the oilpan where the y shape hoe is connected under neath that there is one single hoe conected to the engine wall and what I think is the oil pan i can see a small amount dripping. What could be leaking? Do you think its a water pump? If so is there after market water pump for my truck thanks.

Sometimes, the formula of the antifreeze makes that smell. I noticed it with a brand of antifreeze I was using in the past.

Just use a blade, the contact surface is aluminum. It cannot resist much.

Yes, you need the new one with the thermo clutch It is expensive dealer items so far

Yes, that is a expensive water pump. Dealer only. It has a thermo clutch with speed sensors. No aftermarket so far

Thomas Olivarez i only use detriot coolant 50/50 plus its more cheaper than whats at the truck stop and at freightliner.. six bottles of coolant i got for $48 thats cheap. So check out Detriot dealer

Hi, I really need your help pretty quick I want to replace my water pump it’s leaking on my 2014 DD 15 freightliner Cascadia evolution. And fleet pride and Napa Auto Parts quoted me $55 and some change. The dealer quoted me for that truck for that engine, hold onto your hat. $750 for the water pump, and that is for a Landstar discount

Fleet pride and Napa quoted the water pump only. On the newer engines the water pump has an electric clutch mounted on it, which is how freightliner sells the part. $750 for the pump and clutch is cheap. If you do it yourself you can attempt to disassemble and reassemble the clutch on to the new water pump.... good luck. It’s better just to pay for the complete pump if you have a shop or do it yourself. The hard part is on the water pump with clutch you have to unbolt the pulley to remove one of the pump bolts. You need to do this anyway since a new pump has the clutch assembly but no pulley. It takes about 2 hours if you have the right tools and try not to waste time.
