FRENCH ACCORDION SCHOTTISCHE

A version oh this SCOTTISH (le canal en octobre) of Frederic Paris circulated already on KZbin, in spite of the bad quality of recording she is continuously visited and i do not count any more the requests to obtain the partition, what explains this new version. the harmonies are very simple 3 chords but the right hand accepts readily some effects of notes. the partition is available on my blog;

@ KirillCZ: It is indeed an accordion, there are two types, one with buttons only, and one with keys on the melody side, and buttons on the bass side. They are both chromatic, which means that pulling and pushing the bellow give the same sound. With diatonic accordions (and harmonica's, as far as I know), pulling the bellow gives a different sound than pushing.

Very nice and cheery piece. It would be very difficult to get the same feeling of this interpretation of the F. Paris tune from a diatonic accordion/melodeon. I find it very uplifting. Carry on Dom...... from NB Canada.

@Lmodkicksyourass it's chromatic. 1st it's 4row (and you see linked buttons of 4th row) 2nd you can see long inflation of bellow (melodeon usually needs quick changes between pull and push). 3rd between pull and push you can see the tone is not changed.

As mentioned earlier this is being played on a chromatic button accordeon. Fredric Paris plays the Diatonique Accordeon, also known in the UK, and elsewhere, as a Melodeon. Before I moved to France 12 years ago this was a favourite for our French dance club sessions.
