Victoria...do recharge, disconnect and continue rediscovering who you are. That rediscovery is a life-long process. There is a saying in China..."a man never steps in the same river twice". Travel opens us up to the world around us but also affords a look inward. I backpacked around the globe in the early 90s prior to the internet, KZbin and social media. In a way I lament that these platforms weren't around when I was touring from country to country but when I look at the thoughtful content you create I can appreciate that it is proper work isn't it? All that I had to document my travels was a journal and a Canon EOS film camera. There is not one day that passes that I don't reflect on all of my travels and trips abroad. I still have wonderlust three decades on. Stay curious about yourself and the world. Cheers!

Hello Victoria!! I have followed your channel since near the beginning and wanted to share that you were part of my inspiration for my trip to the UK!! All of your shots and trips around Scotland and England, I was so inspired! I am from Texas and just spent a week in Scotland, I climbed Ben Nevis! And am now typing this as I’m walking to the grocery store in Ambleside in the Lake District in England and am going to do some hiking tomorrow here. It is absolutely stunning! Thank you for inspiring other photographers and travelers. So many of the beautiful sights I saw in Scotland reminded me of your work! Have a wonderful time disconnecting and being on your trip!

This is probably one of the most touching comments I have read, I am sat here reading this with a massive smile on my face. I remember you from the start and it is so lovely that you still continue to follow my page. But what is even more beautiful is the adventure you have been on, thank you so much for sharing this it was a pure joy to read. I am so happy you were inspired and I really hope you had a fantastic time away? Did you have a good view from the top of Ben Nevis and well done for hiking it! It's a long way up! Enjoy the Lake District too, another lovely place. Thank you again for your continued support but for sharing this lovely story, you have made my day. Thank you ☺️

@@wildandfreevictoria thank YOU Victoria! I just got back to the hostel after a day in the Lake District. After climbing Ben Nevis I was in no mood to conquer any mountains but found myself at the peak of one anyways here! It is stunning and a beautiful clear day. With Ben Nevis I actually wasn’t intending to climb it the day that I did - there’s a loch nearby that looked on the map just a short jaunt from where I was staying, so I just had a light breakfast and thought I’d do the loch and come back. Then realized wow this loch is basically halfway up the mountain, so naively decided to just keep on hiking up to the top! I was not dressed for that weather nor did I have enough food or water, haha I even had to swallow my pride and ask someone for a granola bar at the top - it was snowy and icy and no visibility but well worth the trek and the adventure! The weather in Scotland was dreary and drizzly at times but I actually loved that, it felt more like the true Scottish experience to me! Tomorrow I head back to London and then back to the states. I’ve been here since Oct 1 and have absolutely loved it. Thank you again and I will continue to watch and enjoy seeing all of your photography and adventures!! :) Thank you for sharing your positive outlook with the world.

Well blooming heck. I came across your channel through my interest in photography. I was watching away and when Eric appeared I thought, he's the double of my old dog Stan. Then I noticed how small he was......... Hold on! I know Eric. Ive met him up Yair Forest with yourself and was delighted to meet him. And a few times after. Then I remembered you (sorry 😊) We've had a few nice chats. Next time hopefully add a bit of photography. Of course your first videos are up Yair forest. Im so pleased I've found your channel. It's a delight to see wee Eric again. I have the Border Collie, Freda. And Jack Russell, Jess. You may remember them. Anyway. I'm subscribed and looking forward to more of your adventures. Regards, Barrie

Look forward to seeing what you post. I tend not to go south to escape though - but go north. I work/live in Antwerp, so base myself there. I take the Harwich to Hook of Holland, then explore up through Belgium, Holland, then onto Sweden and Norway - there true awesomeness and serenity lies if you want to chill out and take some amazing footage.

Aww what a lovely place, a friend was telling me about Antwerp and how lovely it is. I think next year I will explore the North more and head up into Scandinavia, there is always so much to see and do. Thank you for the recommendations 🙃✌🏻

When I hit 30 I was so sad. However when I hit 31, I did not give a sh*t and have not ever since. Last time I was in Chamonix I went to the "tippity" top of the highest mountain out there. It made me realise that I live at sea level for a reason. 😂😂 Stay safe out there and don't let KZbin burn you up😀
@wildandfreevictoria Жыл бұрын
Haha this is great! Yeah I think your 30s are a wonderful place. I am the same now, I don’t care i’m just enjoying myself 🙂 Aw I went to the top as well and I will go again this time too. Haha see I love mountains I would happily stay on one! Thank you very much! And see you in the future 🙂✌🏻

@@wildandfreevictoria Hi, I went up in 2000 when the old Gouter Hut was still around. If you get a chance please tell me what the new hut is like. Sadly my climbing days are restricted to looking at my photos. The best thing I ever did in Cham was Cosmiques Arret. You start and finish at the Midi. I think it took 3-4 hours.
