Hi! I stumbled across your video.... WoW! I had never heard of Revel and I am in love!!! I went through a period of wearing fake nails, but stopped because of what it was doing to my real nails. I have been looking online to find someone to do my nails professionally. But, now, I found Revel!!! I am getting the French Mani Kit!!! This is just to Awesome! I cannot wait to do my nails! I had pink and white acrylics for years too and I still love the look! I need to get a tray so I can try it with dip. You make it look so easy!

Thank you! It really is pretty simple once you give it a try, don’t hesitate to give it a shot. I also recommend getting a feel for the process by sliding your finger into the tray & powder before you even put your base on... this gives you a good idea of the angle you want to get the smile line you like.

New to Revel and Dips! Waiting on my clear dip to come in. I got the french kit from Revel. May I ask, Why the mid strip of clear before you started???

Of course. It's to build up the apex of the nail, do give it a natural curved shape for strength and aesthetic. :-)

What base are you using in this video? Do you prefer it over the Revel base?

I prefer almost any other dip base to Revel. ☺️ I used revel for years before branching out and never looked back. My faves are Virgo & Gem, Triple D and ManiBoss… love all 3 and highly recommend. A smooth, thin base makes all the difference in your application. ☺️

What is the first step that you are doing in this video? I want to get a peel base but I am trying to figure out which one.

I use UNT peel base and am very happy with it. I apply it to the middle of the nail avoiding the cuticle area and free edge. This speeds up my soak off process, but avoids nails popping off when I’m not ready for that. Application depends on what you want to get out of the peel base.

Also the first step in this video was building the apex of my nail. When you have any length to your nail it helps to build the apex for added strength and also shape (it helps the curve of your nail rather than flattening).
