It’s all subjective-It’s hard to say, it ‘s all opinion. I speak Italian conversationally, am learning German (which I love but the grammar is a bitch), but in regards to French, I love the sound system, unlike the other Romance languages and its origins. well, that’s a thing, but we have more things (words) for English, bc one English word could mean at least 3 things in Italian right? and we also have to speak formally in he/she/it and you bc our you is tu or voi (voi is 2nd plural person) and we don’t use it anymore, we also don’t use k w j and k, we don’t have many foreign words in our language, and Italian is also pretty easy to learn and speak, because if you know our alphabet well (I mean the pronounce) you can read everything as it is written, but we have more (idk how to say right in English but it would be like this traduced) ways and times for verbs, and we have more usage for verbs, bc we have our “gerundio” that is the present continuos, but that is also other things. so it’s easy, but a bit complicated

This is exqctly my experience. I work in a French bank. Having to hear their really unsexy accent when speaking English is tormenting. Even worse when they speak German. There are exceptions but most of them are just bad with pronouncing foreign sounds. Not their fault though. They just can’t do it.

Basically regardless they speak or write, they simply think in French and translate into English word for word. The obvious in my case is, when they summarise a report they use "synthesis" which is literally translated from "synthèse" in French, instead of the likes of "in summary" or "in conclusion" that the English speakers would use. Yeah, it's not their fault but in my case they also refused to be corrected 🤷 Italians are less so. As in, even if they think in Italian, their version of English is not far off. At least they will try to use simple English terms that they can think of, instead of translating word for word from Italian. Again, team Italian 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

I think we can’t really judge a language when it’s our native language, for the mere fact we are so used to it. Italian is definitely much more romantic... The weird sounds of French can actually make it quite repulsive to non-native Europeans, or people who generally live outside the western world. But that said, I love French and the way it sounds. The only aspect of French I truly hate is the spelling.

I'm sorry to admit it, because I really love Italian language and culture etc. Since I was 13, I feel connected with Italy and their language. But if I have to say which language sounds more romantic, it's French. You can say anything (even the dog poop) and it sounds sweet, romantic. But at the same time if I would have to select which one is more passionate, it's definitely Italian :-)

Credo intendesse dire che, pur parlando in italiano e non in dialetto, spesso per uno del nord è difficile capire un siciliano, che parla normalmente (veloce) e magari pronuncia certe parole in modo diverso
