Thanks for sharing your journals. I agree with you not to over track because I got overwhelmed last year trying to track everything associated with my reading. Planning to add a few new spreads to my journal after watching this.

Really nice Didi. My reading journal is always very basic. I have goals, Bookclub reads, buddy reads and a log of each book by month. After is just 1/2 a page with the book image and my thoughts. Minimal decor.

@@browngirlreading Yes, but my reading journals that I keep are a mess of notes, deep dive notes about the writers, etc. I am working on filling them up until they are complete but then I buy another and the mess starts all over again. I won't be sharing those but may do my zines again for my own records.

My dilemma is whether to transfer my long term reading projects (authors, series, books on my shelves, books on Kindle, etc) to my new journal. But, I'm leaning towards keeping it simple so I have time to read! 🤣 Now, my Read Soul Lit 2025 picks are already included. Thanks for the ideas, Didi.

Oh nooo! Do you keep a reading journal? This is just how I like to look at my reading. Everybody does this differently. How do you keep track with your reading? I know some people only use Goodreads of The Storygraph.

Love it. It has me tempted to start one, but I will hold back as I just know I will not be able to do it. Just updating my reading spreadsheet and that is always flawed at the end.

You can do it! Just keep it simple. I admire anybody who can keep a spreadsheet. I have to use them for work and can't stand them.

@@browngirlreading hahaha. Yes, can understand that. I like that I can filter them and have them calculate tracking data for my goals. They are so uninspiring though compared to a beautiful journal.
