Annette - Q&A with LEOS CARAX

Presented in the Cannes Film Festival 2021 official competition, Annette won Leos Carax (Les Amants du Pont-Neuf, Holy Motors) the Best Director. A mind-blowing musical fantasy, Leos Carax’s latest opus, tells the story of a provocative stand-up comedian (Adam Driver) and his wife, a world-famous soprano (Marion Cotillard).
On the occasion of the premiere, director Leos Carax was in discussion with Garin Dowd, Professor of Film and Literature (University of West London) and author (with Fergus Daly) of Leos Carax (Manchester University Press, 2003).

Great interview, thanks! Leos Carax is such an awkward yet genuinely funny man. He seems to be more relaxed here than usual, probably because he knows deep down he just made his best film.
