Man, i miss that feeling! I really miss when S13's used to be cheap and make great project cars for value... Now they are basically unbuyable. I used to have a s13 CA18DET with mines ECU, rebuilt T28, FMIC, POD, stock injectors.

Put a stage 1 chip into the ecu and set the boost to 1.1-1.2 bar and the ca18det will let your s13 fly. If you dont expect it and you put the pedal to the metal in 2nd, the boost will surprise you and you dont recognize, that you already hit 8000rpm. Happened to my wife 18 years ago. After i put the chip in and raised the boost, I told her to stay in 2nd after a turn and then send it. She was so shocked, that she completly missed to shift and at 8000rpm i was just like "shift, shift, shift!" A coworker also told me, that it pulled harder then a golf r32 mk4 of his friend. So yes, it was fun to drive.

Great Video, one question, at what rpm range does the turbo start to create boost and at what rpm range do you think the boost hit hard, I had the same turbo on a 1.3 liter engine but the boost starts at 4000 rpm and hit hard at 4300, so is a lot of lag
@DylanBeppler Жыл бұрын
This has been a while ago, I ended up switching to a smaller s15 turbo because I actually had a ton of problems with boost creep on this turbo. I think I was hitting full boost around 3500, this engine has bigger cams and it’s a 1.8 liter so those could both be helping me out with quicker spool. If I remember right it was really hitting by 4k

@@DylanBeppler thank you so much for answering, I have plans to get a 200sx with the ca18det and I wanted to know your experience with that turbo, thanks again for the information.

@@joshuacisneros1361 No problem bro, I strongly recommend an s15 spec r turbo for some fun quick spool, or maybe even a gbc22-350 garrett. Obviously a g25-550 is another great turbo as well
