Mrs Lori! This is exactly how my late mom made her cherry cobbler. This brought tears to my eyes. I have looked for so long for a recipe that was close and here it is. 😍 We used to live in Alaska, but now I live in Washington state, right on the Oregon state border, so I love the abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables especially cherries that we didn't have in Alaska. Thank you! Donya Bauer 💜

Good morning Ms. Lori. This reminds me of the cobblers my grandmother used to make. Mostly peach and apple, but sometimes there would be a blackberry. Having raised 9 children, she learned to cook in quantity. Even after they were all grown and out on their own, she continued to make big cobblers for Sunday dinners just in case somebody dropped by after church. Somebody always dropped by. There was never a crumb left. Your cobbler looks delicious. I think I can smell it from here. :-) Have a blessed day.

Since my cherry pies always turn out too runny, I've decided I will do a cobbler next time. Have you heard about pitting the cherries with a straw? You put the straw like in a soda bottle, slide the cherry on it and the pit comes out-- or something like that! I haven't actually tried it, but it may save your fingers next time!! This looks amazing!
@WhippoorwillHoller5 жыл бұрын
I'll have to try that next time ,thanks, xoxoxo

I buy Walmart brand pie filling. They are better than the name brand real sugar in it. I also have a recipe for you. Instate of regular cheese for grilled cheese shred mozzarella put it between your bread and dip in beaten eggs and then pan cook like regular grilled cheese. Really good.

I liked the video and enjoyed listening to you but I'm sort of confused and I don't mean to be contrary. Isn't this a cherry pie without a bottom crust? I love how you make the pie filling but in my part of the country making a cobbler means biscuit dough mixxed with pie filling which then rises while it bakes with cherry pie filling mixxed in with the dough.
@WhippoorwillHoller4 жыл бұрын
I understand what your saying, here in the hills of Arkansas, we make cobblers in several ways, and a putting a big crust on top is one way, we love it, or we do the biscuit recipe too, love them both Xoxoxo
