Add a little bit(just a small pinch) of salt and mix with 1tbsp honey if oranges are sweet cut to just half spoon. I'm sure you will love it. My Mother in law does this and trust me everytime it tastes awesome.

Thanks for this video! I usually like my orange juice 50% juice and 50% water. That way the pulp doesn't bother me and it has the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming.

Why is store bought orange juice sooooo sugary? Fresh squeezed is so good on it own, and it quenches your thirst, as opposed to Tropicana which makes me more thirsty than before. Makes no sense to me.

I got frustrated and started looking up videos to make pulp free OJ after having went to target to buy a strainer and tried blending oranges then straining through various sized colanders, and strainers which didn't work (the OJ was room temp and still thick and pulpy, blehk). I even tried using a coffee press with fine mesh, and the pulp just shot up through the sides almost breaking the press. I think I need this juicer, and didn't realize it'd be this easy with a machine.

Blender is the best method if you care for the nutritional value of orange. Nothing gets tossed away. You are getting only the sugary water by the method you used here... It only has 10% of the food value when compared to a juice made of an orange WITH the pulp...

I can't argue with fresh juiced (Squeezed) Orange Juice made in the moment but I've stopped making my own when I found Coral Reef small batch orange juice at Publix. I only hope more stores start carrying it because it sells out too fast. To me though it is the closest taste to the real stuff, and was close enough to have me but my juicer up in storage and no I have no connection to them just hope they continue to make it.

I still love Coral Reef from Publix, but I believe some of the best is the "Fresh Squeezed" from Sam's Club when they have, and can get, the Oranges from Texas. The Texas source is just the sweetest, yet Sam's only gets them for the fresh squeezed and not to sell in the store. I've also come to love the Sam's brand "Not from Concentrate" orange juice they sell in the refrigerated section. The bad thing about their fresh squeezed is that it's not pasteurized, so you have to drink it fast because it spoils so fast. Usually not a problem with me. Cost however ... $9.99 for about 56 oz.

The white pulpy part of the orange has the most nutrients and vitamin c etc…. A lot of ppl don’t know that and they just squeeze the juice out of the orange thinking it’s “orange juice” that’s just the sugar part. That’s why orange juice has more of a thick consistency and the color is more “Yellow” because of the white pulp, It’s supposed to be that way. ☺️
