The Happy Hour menu looks great! I used to pick up a bowl at the Ahi & Vegetable at Ala Moana Lānai food court about half the time I was there (I also like Da Spot), but several months ago, like everything, my favorite $10 bowl of ahi/salmon/crab/seaweed salad/fish roe (masago?) over rice went up to $12. $2 may not seem like much but that's a 20% increase, and if you purchase anything with a credit card, there's an extra charge. Of course, they have to keep up with inflation, workers' pay, and the rising cost of fish, containers and utensils, but with the accompanying shrinkflation at most "affordable" places to eat and drink, Iʻve had to cut back on my usual quick take-out and casual meals. Just one bowl or mini plate plus a Starbucks grande drink (much smaller now) can come to $20 or more! I'm glad you guys can get out there to let us know about new and old favorite local places to eat, and you're lucky you get comped for some of it. Iʻm sure the businesses really appreciate all the good publicity you bring them.
