It's always tough taking down something with that much history but I agree it was much needed for the future of your farm! Thanks for taking us along! 👍😎

I know it had to go. But I always think of the people who built it. All there hopes an dreams. I know I am an old sap. Looks nice.

We thought about that a lot too. Also, about the idea of the barn was built in 1880, when was that tree a sapling?

I saw another new silage bunker 🙂 The small ones in front are they group pens for calves?

How’s milking with the new setup? Less labor intensive I take it?
@FreshAirFarmer2 жыл бұрын
Much less physical labour. More time to worry about cows and keeping things tidy.

@@FreshAirFarmer Does it almost feel like you have a reliable hired hand milking the cows around the clock? You are managing cows now and such.

I bet you don't miss milking in your old tie stall barn I've never seen a head to head tie stall around here

What was the actual time this took?
@FreshAirFarmer2 жыл бұрын
This was about 2 days to get the barn down, burned and sorted out. Another day of crushing concrete and a day of backfilling.
