If you take the extra time to salvage through all of the debris I'm an certain you can resale a lot of the stuff. I would try to salvage as many boards as I can and any material that is in very good. Sell it at a cheap price. Any profit is better than nothing

The labor cost of doing the sorting isn’t worth it

I would also do like a little used lumber side hustle. And other materials such as siding

My wife and I have a junk removal business in Fla. She is hounding me for a skid steer but I thought an excavator would be a better starter piece. Which would you start with and we noticed the metal in this video was thrown out; do you ever scrap?
@RyanTroyerTV2 жыл бұрын
I would stick with the skid if I did it again. We may scrap metal if it’s worth it. Most jobs aren’t for us.

Have any advice for how to get your foot in the door of demo jobs? I have a skid steer and truck and trailer, just not sure how to advertise for demo work
@RyanTroyerTV2 жыл бұрын
Yes you need to run ads to get your name out. My team can help if you need it.

hey @kyledean9987 I work on Google campaigns for demo services providers. I would love to advertise your company. it will be on a commission basis. No upfront fee.

Great video! I’ve recently started my own demo company and I was wondering if you’ve come up with an affective way to price or quote jobs. Do you do by square foot, day rate or just based on the overall outcome? Any insight is greatly appreciated

Awesome video man. I started my Junk Removal business a few months ago and it’s going great so far. I’m having some trouble with demolition though with given estimate I have three questions 1. How do you price total demolition? 2. How do you price interior demolition. Like for example, taking down a few office units inside of the warehouse.? 3. How do you price concrete slab demolition? Thank you so much

Good job, but for six full loads plus using the machine and spending 5 hours labor, 3500 it's too low! You have to upsell it next time.
@2birddogsandawolfdog9453 жыл бұрын
That would need demo permits here. And asbestos abatement paperwork.

Did you charge $3500 for the whole project or was it $3500 profit after paying dump fees, labor, gas etc?

Hey I got a question for you I just bit this little 350 ft.² storage for $1500 my first demolition job what do you think about it I’m using my own dump trailer and my On tractor
@RyanTroyerTV3 жыл бұрын
It sounds like a good start. Keep going forward. Figure out your expenses and adjust as needed.
@manuteo67033 жыл бұрын
@@RyanTroyerTV dont forget to mention its never a good idea to use a tractor on a demo job. make sure you use the proper equipment unless you want the maintenance and repair bills to skyrocket

Can you tell me honestly what your actual profit was after marketing, time spent quoting, equipment rental (or ownership/maintenance costs), labour, fuel, dump fees & incidentals?
@RyanTroyerTV3 жыл бұрын
This could be broken down many ways. Marketing we average $50-60 per job. Skid steer cost could range depending on how much we use in a given month. Time spent quoting 5 minutes via text.
