Fully agree! Is it weird that I found it comforting, in a way, to hear him swearing and telling d!ck jokes? 😅 I think it's a lovely counterbalance to his style that he usually promotes on here. If I had to guess, he's always worked blue (at least sometimes /somewhat), but he and/or his manager opted to post exclusively all-ages, KZbin-algorithm-friendly parts of his sets until he really cemented an audience and fanbase here... Which definitely appears to have worked! Couldn't be happier for him, regardless 🥰

There is no one like Josh Johnson, no one. Not today, not in the last 20+ years. (been following comedians closely for the last 40+ years). A very different comedian but like the most normal person out there. Funny as hell, extremely observant, entertaining explainer of current culture, the “everyman” in most situations, just a “normal guy” with a demeanor that makes everything he tells very accessible. Young and STILL able to get stories across to all ages. That’s a lot to find in one person and my hope is that he’s able to do this for as long as he wants (and that it lasts for at least 20 years). Love from Seattle, Josh. Keep dong what you’re doing as kong as you like it.

True Josh Story: my son and I drove, round trip, a total of 8 hours to catch Josh's show in Minnesota. Josh is my son's favorite comedian, so when he got to meet Josh he asked Josh to take a picture with him he could use for his senior photo in his high school yearbook. Josh definitely noticed it was a weird request, but was such a gentleman and said yes. The photo was taken at the Sunday night show. On Monday, I get an email from the school asking me if I was aware of the photo my son had submitted. They attached the photo to the email, as though they weren't sure just describing it would be enough. I replied that I was aware and fully supported using the photo. The admin went back and forth about whether it was appropriate. I asked my son if he was concerned and he just smiled. He said he asked if they had an issue with featuring a successful African American man in the yearbook. They then agreed the photo was in. Thanks Josh! My son's high school yearbook is so much better now!

I always forget how insane the concept of "doing taxes" is. It's not something we have across the pond. I just got sent a paper once per year that says how much I owed, or how much I was getting in returns, and all the relevant calculations with sources. Nowadays there's not even any physical paper involved. It's all online. I don't have to know anything about my taxes is I don't want to. And in the case I do, I just log on our social services site and besides taxes, it has anything and everything (health history, prescriptions, military service, unemployment stuff, passport, birth certificate, you name it) I could ever need to know under an easy menu. This wasn't supposed to seem like a flex, I'm just always hit so hard by the difference.
