A few things to consider. That 118,000 marines would double in number overnight if the USA were truly invaded. There would be no need for a call up. Veterans, probably carrying their own weapons, would rally ready to oppose any enemy.

As a veteran who at the end his career worked in tactical Intel, I would point out we EXPECT an invasion to occur BY LAND after a deception. Too long to explain in a comment but your assertion that they won’t come by land it totally opposite of what we expect.

@@pccougar895 The majority of farming is mechanized. Those crops requiring manual labor is overall small and, only a small number of illegal aliens (legal term) actually work those jobs. If needed, we could simply do as they did when I was young and give temporary visa to seasonal migrant workers. BTW, when you consider the actual cost of illegal aliens to the savings growers have the increased prices would be minuscule. As an aside, look up César Chávez, the united farm workers Union president back in 1992.

@@jdpnw9828 Oh, and you're wrong about your "rifle behind every blade of grass" quote, too. There is ZERO actual evidence of Admiral Yamamoto ever saying such a thing. That's just something you see on the internet spouted by people who fantasize about being the heroes repelling the commie invasion with their trusty little hunting rifle. It's not gonna happen. It can't. The actual TRUTH about Yamamoto is that he had studied at Harvard and was familiar with America's INDUSTRIAL potential. And THAT is the basis for America winning the war. Wars are prosecuted on the foundation of LOGISTICS. Without logistics supply chains, there can be no projection of force by an army. And there is NO WAY for a foreign power to create or maintain a logistics supply chain to supply an army to invade America. An invasion of America would require literally thousands of troop ships and supply ships. And they would be detected from orbit months in advance and would be sunk in their own harbors by the U.S. Navy before they ever left their own homeland ports. The United States *DOES NOT NEED an ARMY* to defend the homeland. Because the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy would obliterate any possible "invasion" before it ever started. Did you know that the U.S. Constitution ONLY authorizes a standing Navy? The Constitution PROHIBITS a standing Army without renewed authorization by Congress. The ONLY reason we have an Army is so we can go meddling around in OTHER countries.

Each team (USA is last player, 2-4 player game) using hovertanks, mechanized infantry, helicopter's fighter bombers foot soldiers, out numbered 3-1, the USA gets 1 new Laser per turn and like a Hawaiian wildfire, they rule the late game, the USA also gets special mountain infantry.

In the highly unlikely even that enemy troops actually reached our shores, it would mean that most - if not all - of our home based reserves were already destroyed, along with forward deployed forces world-wide. Far fetched at this point, but that would be the scenario: Defeat abroad, with reserves also depleted abroad, with nothing left at home but old vets and volunteers.

The United States has an incredibly strong military, backed by a $900 billion defense budget. With advanced ships, planes, armored vehicles, and a massive number of troops, it's a tough target for any invasion. Its geographic isolation and challenging terrain add to the difficulty. Plus, with an estimated 120 guns per 100 people, civilian firearm ownership complicates any potential attack. The US Navy, with 11 aircraft carriers, 970 planes, and numerous warships, would be a significant obstacle to any naval invasion. The US Marine Corps, with 181,000 active duty members, and the US Army, with nearly 1.4 million active duty personnel and 843,000 in reserve, equipped with advanced weaponry, make any invasion a daunting task.

I honestly feel sorry for any troops unlucky enough to land in the US, consider them cannon fodder used as target practice for the well armed citizenry, our police would have to save them from certain death. I've seen a lot of these videos and they always act like they can just go through Canada to get to the US, like it was a cakewalk, but put aside their weak leader Trudeau and their liberal population, Canadian troops are a force to be reckoned with. They share the same be free or die attitude as Americans do. Canada has fought side-by-side with America in several wars, even landing next to the UK & US in Normandy on D-day. They share North American air defense duties with the US and have the largest demilitarized border in the world. Long story short, dream on if you think you can cut through Canada. US troops would be there to back them up in a real too!

We got them, in various different sizes. From the 7-8 foot Diamond back and Timbers, to the 6 inch pigmy rattle. Those little bastards are a fraction of the size, but the same attitude, and their poison is three times as potent. Then we got the SWAMP. People still disappear in them yearly, never to be seen or heard from again. Speaking of the swamp, if you're hiking thru them and decide to cross a small innocent looking puddle of water, be careful. It may just be a filled in sink hole. Deep. And lets not even get started on the spiders.. Oh, we also have bears and panthers. Go on, pet the kitty. Then there are the wild hogs, they'll eat anything. Last but not least, we got Bubba. He just don't care. If you're really having a bad day, he just might introduce you to his cousin, Ben. You hear banjo music, RUN! Don't walk, cause you may just have a 'purdy mouth.' they don't need to invade. just wait. the USAF is aging and badly. the F16 is about 40 years old the B52 is heading for 80 plus years of active service. most of what you showed is over due for retirement. or simply converted from other aircraft. and the US's insistence on high tech and futuristic tech, means expensive replacements like the 19 B2's to replace the 70, Bb52's. there will be a point where another country can invade. it's the same with your ships too, the us could barely afford the two stealth ships. the truth you showed is an aging badly force for each.

I’m sorry. But you have no idea what you’re talking about. My family has served for generations. As an example, the f22 raptor was started in development in the 90’s! Nearing 30 years, and is the UNDISPUTED deadliest air to air plane on the planet. No matter what “age” you think disqualified a vehicle, the Us is the Most advanced military on the planet. The most well funded. And I’d argue the most dedicated. As a fully volunteer military. And nothing is stronger than the heart of a volunteer. I believe those were the words of Doolittle, before his raid. Then factor in the most heavily armed citizenry. Yes we are a violent, fractured citizenry. But as we have shown time and again, in the end, when it matters, we are ALL American. And we will fight and die, for our country. Then factor in our allies. Canada as an example, sure we lob insults .. all the time lol. But while we were realing after 9/11. Canada was already declaring war. And they have stood at our back since ww2 and before. Simply put, there’s a reason most think tanks think the US alone, could take on the world. We don’t want that. We don’t want to rule the world (despite some idiots in congress). But if you come? Prepare to die. And as for the citizens? We may not stop you, but we will damn well avenge. And we have shown the lengths we will go to to punish and make a point. Ask Japan. Be friends, we will embrace and stand before you. Be neatral… and we will to our detriment, defend , support, and pay… piss us off… you will surely… regret it

Actually the F16s in service now are not 40 years old. The B52's have had most components replaced multiple times. The air force just ordered more F15's. And unlike Russia our boneyards are dry and we can bring back equipment to standard quickly.

@ of course we upgrade. A continuing process. Our “boneyards” however are not dry. If you think so you’ve never been to the bay to see the reserve fleet, not seen the boneyard filled with hundreds of planes. I have. And if you genuinely feel russia has a hope in hell outside of nukes, you’ve paid zero attention to Ukrainian. A small country, poor, and fielding nothing but export versions of weapons and even hand built modified drones, has shown Russia… is NOT THE SOVIET UNION!. Putin is a fool if he believes they are or shall ever be again. If a remnant of that once fiersom country, could rock them for years, on what he claimed would be a few weeks… then the US would desecrate them. And if you are a US citizen… shame and fuck off. Because you’re either uninformed… or a fucking know nothing liberal. I’ve voted democrat… but liberals are fucking crazy. Just as the tea party and far right are crazy. But if you think less then nukes, Russia, or even Russia and china… could take us? Your nuts

A dozen F-35s took out most of Iran's air defense a few weeks ago. The U.S. has more than a dozen F-35s.

@brandennesbitt608 nice reply. But give trump a few years, and your Congress. All militaries are nice big targets for cuts American forces are bigger than most and that has nothing to do with patriotism. And has a British citizen myself. We know all about military cuts. You military is already being cut down and saving money, and using technology for advanced fighter aircraft that can more than one role, and saving even more money by extending the life of the current stock. That in turn will reduce the amount of air cover. Also the trillions you spend alone on military cannot last, when other countries are grouping together for their aircraft. So it's only time. Oh and ask Russia what happens when you use aging aircraft and vehicles on the battle field.
