Warm Freshwater is what they need to survive and grow. Only the larvae need brackish water.

Hi there, I’m very fascinated by your setups and just curious. Have you ever tried setting up a bunch of 10g tanks and putting one prawn in each so they can grow quicker bc they won’t have to fight for food or eat eat other ? The idea seems good but I don’t know if them not being able to swim around will have an affect on their growth or not

No. The larvae will not survive in freshwater.
