I've been a member for over 2 years and I HIGHLY recommend David's Fingerstyle Five membership. He's a world-class player and teacher. Hard to find that combination. He has a solution to every problem you could possibly have trying to learn fingerstyle blues guitar. He actually teaches instead of showing off. He breaks everything down into small learnable pieces. He has really helped me gain thumb and finger independence without hitting my knuckles with a ruler. Give him a try, you'll thank me later.

I've subscribed for a few years. David's unique teaching style of breaking each song down to fundamental elements and methodically building up to an embellished tune in one month is better than any other on-line instructor (and many, many "in-person" instructors) that I've come across in my twenty years of taking guitar lessons in several genre. Very highly recommended.😁

That is a remarkable insight. I've struggled to explain the timing of blues forms before. I now have a better understanding (and hopefully will be able to convey it as clearly!)

Hi:I am a 70 year old wann be blues player for my own enjoyment. I don't want to be a rock star. I'm too old for that I'm a retired man who wants to be able to play for my own enjoyment.

Maybe I'm too new and missed something, but he didn't seem to use this idea to apply to the pentatonics.

He was using notes of the Em pentatonic scale and the b5 from the blues scale to demonstrate the ideas/concepts in this video.
