This lady is amazing. I took her master class and she was worth every penny I paid. Now I don't have to wonder if I'm right. Now I know I'm right when I sing the different voices.

YOU ARE GREAT :D I used to sing and belt too much mixed voice and drag too much chest, now thanks to your "not push" tip, I could do multiple glides between my chest-mix and head :)

Vocal Exercises: 1:48 2:20 3:38 5:11 7:09 *I would recommend watching the full video, and then skip to the exercises for practice when you are more familiar with the technique required for each exercise. :)

Very helpful. I am Mezzo but can often sing higher, but not up to the highest Soprano level, but the exercises on this vid are useful but fun at the same time. Many thanks.

@Anathea4 жыл бұрын
Salka Green that’s how it will sound before it is trained. Drink water, practice breath support, and do these exercises as frequently as possible. In time, your voice will improve. :)

Hi Ms. Freya! Thank you for this video, I am always confused if I am using my head voice or my chest voice. I am a soprano and it affects my confidence in singing because I don't know what register or placement I am using. I hope this video will help me a lot as I practice.

My biggest issue is that i sing from my throat and idk how to stop
@OhLookAnotherGamer8 жыл бұрын
I have to say I still have trouble using little air when going high. I sound very breathy and when I try these tips I just put pressure on my throat, and I don't think thats what I'm supposed to do, haha.

cant reach when i reach head voice .. my voice start airy .. like no sound
@Anathea4 жыл бұрын
Squicky Cow this could be many things, however, I personally would suggest working on your breath support as well as these exercises. Your head voice will naturally be breathy until you strengthen it. I hope this helps :)

Should we do more exercises or sing more songs?
@dianeshepherdlyricsoprano13945 жыл бұрын
You need to vocalise (do exercises) before singing to warm up your voice and vocal chords. About 30 minutes should be fine.

Hi Freya, I do love your videos and style and find them really helpful. I am a man and am having trouble understanding when I'm in head voice vs falsetto. How do I tell, as I am doing sirens, which voice I am in? My musical area of work is more contemporary and I understand the passaggio from my chest to the next level but I don't know if I'm in mixed or head at the "flip" that I'm smoothing out. Can you help me with that?

I’m having a hard time figuring out how to use a head voice safely, any time I try to go into a higher pitch I strain my throat and mainly use my throat to change pitch but I’m told that’s not safe technique, how do I get those higher pitches without using my throat?
@deerhat78754 жыл бұрын
no wonder I sound really cute and weak whenever I sing in my head voice because my head voice is not strong enough but my chest voice is pretty strong my mixed voice is pretty strong and my voice is pretty flexible but the head voice is just fricking weak people thinks I sound cute but I don't like it because I kind of strain my voice whwnever I use head voice and It's really bad..

How do you stop cracking?
@dianeshepherdlyricsoprano13945 жыл бұрын
Taking in as much breath as possible SHOULD help. Let the breath out slowly as you sing or vocalise.
@Anathea4 жыл бұрын
Siena Shawver voice cracks are normal, to help, however, drink lots of water and breath from your diaphragm. :)

Also meine Frage ist: hatte jene Lehrerin recht?

Anyone (bar those with a physical disability that prevents it) can sing. Believe in yourself. Practice, improve, go back and prove them wrong. In any case one can sing at any pitch, one can't be too low (unless you manage to use pitches below the level of human hearing ;-) ).

@duethevampire64645 жыл бұрын

@WideCuriosity3 жыл бұрын
If it's breathy it's falsetto, if the cords aren't that open, it's likely head voice. Be wary, not everyone has the same definition of falsetto. Some use the term and head voice interchangeably.
