For this mission, I like to generate a ton of favor by killing the dragons in the gold mine, go Hel and then just spam fire giants to kill everything. I know it's not in the spirit of the mission to not use the new Mythic Age power, but I like Fire Giants.

So was Gargarensis first in Greece, then went north, then to Egypt, then back north? Or was he in the north first and then went to Greece? It's almost as if he somehow knew he was going to fail opening the Gates at least two or three times.

You forgot he had help from Kemsyt and Kamos. Gargarensis went to North, Kamos went to Greece and Kemsyt went to Egypt. So I guess Gargarensis went North -> Greece -> Egypt -> North -> Atlantis. And the strat I guess was to secure at least one of the gates gets opened

28:21 who gets the gold in a 1:3? If the killer gets the gold, can you delete the unit yourself and deny the gold?

think your opponent get's it if you delete your own fafnir, if you face multiple enemies I think a random opponent get's the 300

Which ever opponent killed Fafnir gets the gold reward. If you delete him instead, then the total reward (300) is split among all your active enemies.
