Thank-you for explanation and uploading the video. In my case I followed all steps but after submit, program runs till 1 step (i.e. plunging) and does not moved to step 2 (i.e dwelling). Please suggest what to do. Does it take longer time from step 1 to step 2.

Hi Sir, Do you used the material alloy 6061 - T6? Specific heat of 6064 - T6 is ~ 900 J/(kg.K), but you chose it is 67000 in the 1st part. I want to know the unit that. Can you answer my question, please?

Hi sir, I did the same process but I am getting excessive distortion again and again.Can you please help.I tried aplying ALE as well but still same issue. in visualization, it is showing some erratic distortion at tool work interface.

@@Abaqus-Tutorials Initially it happened in first iteration itself. But later on when I increased the size of eulerian part. It happened in welding phase

Thankyou for sharing the helpful tutorial. While performing the simulation as per your video, in the first step, an excessive node rotation error is observed. Could you or anyone in the comment section kindly help out with the problem ?

@@Abaqus-Tutorials Thank you Sir for your response Sir, maybe I am not putting the problem in right word,the temperature is linear horizontally, instead of sinusoidal or something like that and the maximum temperature displayed is the room temperature and not the melting temperature Sir, I think the issue volume of fraction but I am not sure Sir

I followed each and every step exactly, but I'm not getting the temperatures, it's just showing the initial temperature. Is there something that is to be done which isn't available in the videos ?

It is a very good scientific tutorial.However, why do you specify or limit the temperature in the counterplot options? this will not yield true temperature history. for example, if you want to plot the temperature after specifying the temperature to a certain value, the graph shows that some points on the graph are shown missing indicated by an arrow. So this could make the work unrealistic. isn't it?

No, What I had done by specifying limit the temperature is changing the contour color. If you see carefully, @3:57 the maximum temperature was 599 but in reality there is no pure red color on the workpiece. So that the maximum temperature is obviously below 599. The maximum temp on workpiece was orange color that is around 431. If we limit the value to 431, the orange will change to red, this does not affect the result. The only purpose of limit the temperature is visualization. I HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND!

There is only one way and that is to coarsen the mesh.

Halving mesh size reduces the simulation time by factor of 10.If you are reaching welding phase then please help me with excessive distortion.

Just call it Solid State Welding. Process means ways of doing something, mainly measured in time variant.
