The first woman makes it hard on people who really need it. Properties don't have to accept section 8. When people behave like her, they won't want to accept government assisted tenants. I've been on HUD before bc I couldn't keep a job due to my autoimmune disease constantly putting me in the hospital. People like her make it harder on people who really need it bc it causes people to be more judgmental towards the actual people who are in a true crisis. I know I got judged bc others assumed I was like her, but in reality, I've worked all of my life and was very grateful for the help. I knew quite a few people on HUD who had my attitude. Most of that complex housed veterans who were struggling financially. I'd like to thank the taxpayers who helped us!

I used to live at a really nice apartment in San Diego. The landlord decided to accept section 8. The people who showed up trashed the place within two weeks. Cars were being broken into, the laundry room had been ransacked, people were having loud parties during the workday nights. All the regular renters moved out as soon as they could. That experience ensured that I would never rent at any place that accepted section 8 again.
@jbropoet

@@ChiliCat.. im sorry you had that experience. Some people don't deserve the help. Some able bodied people treat it like it's supposed to be a lifelong thing, but it's not.

Section 8 is attractive because the government pays top dollar rates and will pay for the inevitable repairs on the property after the tenant leaves.

These people in the guardianship case are from a different world than I've ever known. What shocks me is that they don't even realize how bizarre they are. Do these people watch normal court hearings, with college level vocabulary/sentence structure, and normal volume of voice for entertainment and comment how shocking we are? And how crazy it is we communicate like that on a regular basis? And how they never knew our world existed?

Relationship in the last case. The guardian is the childs paternal grandmother. Sounds like the childs father also lives with her. Mom is a (former?) drug addict only recently out of jail who hasn't been ordered to pay child support yet but now that she is out grandma wants support. Mom doesn't want a support order so she is arguing the guardianship should just be dissolved and she get custody. A future court date will decide which happens. My prediction is Mom's mouth and attitude is going to get her in trouble now that everything is being monitored by the court, ensuring that the current custody arrangement remains in place.

I truly don't understand why drug usage is a crime if no one else was hurt. He clearly is doing his job or he would have gotten fired. I think it is really wasteful of court time and money to keep arresting people like this. If he goes to prison, he will get more and better drugs there. It's a no win situation.

The crime is a violation of court orders that apply specifically to him. When the original crime involves violence and/or extremely poor judgement, there is typically a bond or parole condition of no alcohol or non-Rx drug use at all. This is to give the individual his best chance of success going forward.

Inheritance? So you or your family has money, but everything you do is from our hard work?! Your living. Your water. Your power. Your food. The money you get your nails done with. Even your defense counsel after you’ve become a criminal for a living instead of working! I knowwww some people really need help. Financially. She’s not one. Stop having kids if you can’t take care of them! And she needs a different kind of help… from a doctor. I am a doctor, and I can tell you she would be a nightmare if a patient. I’d feel bad charging her government insurance, honestly, for her treatment. Since she would just use any diagnosis to try and sue something or someone for money.

I mean.. yea lol who wouldn’t want to get their GPS removed though? I’m also curious to know what his charges are.. To me he just sounds like a 1A auditor. Having said that, it isn’t illegal to record inside of city hall unless you enter restricted areas. So he’s not wrong about that. Not sure if he’s banned from city hall or not. That would make sense. But considering the judge asked if he would be going into the city hall and he stated that he might have to go with his father for his business. This one would be much better with context. Also, he stated he was in full compliance and had been for 8 months. That’s a long time to not screw up and wear a GPS monitor. There needs to be more context.. The guy could be completely in the right here. But he could just be trying to instigate as well. Again, it’s not illegal to record what is in public view. It’s also not illegal to record inside of city hall UNLESS you’re attempting to go in restricted areas. As annoying as 1A auditors can be, if they actually know the laws, abide by them, and act in a respectful, reasonable manner (always depends on their intent), they can be quite useful. But if they’re out there NOT abiding by the law, instigating workers and the public, being disruptive and disrespectful, and trying to push past restrictive areas.. they are completely defeating the purpose behind said “audit”.
@southernladyish
@southernladyish 5 күн бұрын
It’s possible (and likely) he repeatedly harassed the city hall workers in an unlawful manner and was given a trespass that he did not abide by. Which is why the whole claim of going into city hall is an issue. I will say he is pretty smug.. that NEVER helps in these types of situations. When you think you know everything.. that usually means you know nothing. He seems like the very type of person to park his car close to city hall for no other reason that to tip off GPS so he can be a smug d bag in court 😑 having said that, I don’t think he’s creepy.. I think he’s just an ass lol

Granny looks and sounds legit for the most part. The mother is 100% correct about SSI. My daughter has worked 12 years for SSI as a Determination Specialist (don’t know if that is the correct title). While maintaining client confidentiality she has told me way too many stories about how parents try to get kids - in one case SEVEN in one family - disability due to ADHD, etc. One woman claimed her son “sweats too much”. Of course all these cases have an MD doing the final determination or at least their stamp of approval. While a good majority of cases are denied the first time, the government in their infinite wisdom will approve all kinds of ridiculous claims because of the optics. If the client (child or otherwise) is a minority they get approved. It’s ridiculous and despicable. The government just won’t turn these applicants down.

Judge bored them with a long run on sentence at end. At least it quieted them. Poor kid.

Ugh the 54 year old drug addict, I mean occasional drug taker (if you could see my eye roll) every time he opens his mouth he just keeps digging his grave even deeper. Every time he gravels I’m instantly annoyed. The judge is like I already heard all that. He should just admit he’s an addict. “This is my last time, I won’t do it again”, said every addict. SMH 🤦‍♀️
