Love Frank Quitely's art. His name is a play on Quite Frankly! And I think of All Star Superman as one of the all time best DC comics…definitely my favorite Grant Morrison work. Wonderful reimagining of the all the silver age Superman tropes. 3000 years in the future, the planet of the apes mutants may have different ideas about race…plus they may have a limited number of masks!

lol. One of the big ideas of PofA was race relations. In fact, Sammy Davis Jr or an activist similar said it was one of the greatest examinations of race relations ever put on film. Thanks for the wonderful comments.

Totally disturbing but if you watch the movie with a flipped pov (apes are colonizers and humans are slaves) it really does show horrific events of the slave trade and colonization. When we feel for the humans and their plight, we have to acknowledge how horribly we treat subjugated humans. Sorry to be preachy but I should’ve been clearer about the context of his comments. Imagine being an African-American (or anyone with a conscience) watching PoA in 1968…must’ve been visceral during the events of civil rights movement.

@@garagegeek4863 One of the apes movies had the apes rioting outside of LA City Hall (maybe Burbank City Hall). It was the third or fourth movie.

I cut some pieces of pine board and put them in the long box and they are stackable and durable boxes after that. The piece of wood is a little big taller than a comic or magazine and I screw it into the long box. They are strong.

I absolutely hate those! I did a similar mistake where I cut up the labels to slide them in to a top slot. All those CDs (the art) destroyed!!

I read the Dark Matter novel. It is quite good; I am a long time fan of the author, Blake Crouch. I had to buy some magazine boxes myself after my recent purchases, haha. Frank is cancelled! 😂

I’ve seen a few shows/movies based on his books, I guess. They always have interesting premises. Frank should’ve been cancelled long ago!!!!

I've not read that Superman, but like the artist. Maybe I can read it at some point in the furture. I like the second Planet of the Apes as I found the mutants and underground world facinating. 1 & 2 were the best for me, though I have and enjoy them all. Good reviews.

It’s a really quick read. I’ll agree that the underground mutants were strange and fascinating but it seemed totally so wrong for the movie and the ending was just crazy. lol.

I’ll assume first one…which other did you like? (Prob not 2nd or 5th, so that leaves 3 and 4…3= Zira and Cornelius in our time, 4 = their child leading the uprising, I think).
