Man, thank you guys. I just had surgery yesterday on my sinuses, after waking up fucking 16 hour long nosebleed. Had to keep my head tilted, could watch T.V. play games or anything. It was my personal hell as I could do nothing and was soiled in my own blood and tears and couldn't sleep at all. But when I got home I had two episodes of rule of rose and FNF to watch. Tech Romancer is one of my favorite games ever. I dove really deep in this game, and you'd be surprised it's more than just a niche party game. It has depth like smash does, doesn't look like it would on the surface. Then you spend time and find this game has loads of tech, hidden moves, and crazy strategies. Plus I love how drastically different each character plays.

Man I played the hell out of Tech Romancer in high school. The anime references are the best. I hope they have some sort of unlock to watch the Japanese intro. Just to be clear, Pulsion is the Eva one, but normally it's like a weird Ultraman. If you can grab an item called hero power, it'll go berserk just like an Eva. Additionally, Jin Saotome is a secret character in Tech Romancer as well. Damn shame they didn't grab an unlock save.

It's a shame that it's such a pain in the ass to get KZbin to do 60 fps, since it means you miss out on a lot of good animation in Cyberbots. It looks SO MUCH better when you're actually playing it. Also, fucking rad to see Tech Romancer, too! Love that god damn game.

I think it's also Playstation versions notoriously delete a lot of frames to make the animations process right. Look at Japanese tournament footage, Super 8 looks completely different.

SenpaiSamaKun True, but they were talking about how awesome the animation is in this video, meaning they were still seeing a lot more frames than what was going on here. You can tell because a lot of the flashing effects don't quite seem right or even can't be seen at all in this video, since they'd be on the alternating frames that get cut out in the KZbin conversion. I see that happen to a lot of the old Capcom fighters, especially if I'm looking at Darkstalkers footage.

Zeon and the Federation both have jerks and cool guys within their ranks, the soldiers on both sides were pulled in for many different reasons, like in reality. The Gundam message is mostly, "War is bad". I like how Zeon still put up a good fight even if Federation started making monster suits like Gundam. Overall it is a matter of who's the better pilot and strategist. The newtype thing is weird too, and is part of a silly human evolution theory. In my opinion, it's more interesting when just normal pilots duke it out raw, without what Miss Matilda calls, "Newtype Intuition", "Sixth sense" if you will, LOL. Amuro is still a cool character though, so is Char, Kammile, and Judau,

So the Tech Romancer robots are amalgam robots. That's why guys like Pulsion seem like Evangelion but also don't seem like Evangelion, because they're not just trying to be EVA in disguise but it's a combination of EVA and Ultraman and the pilots are a third reference. Twinzam is Gear Fighter Dendoh as well as Getter Robo. They're all like that. The magical girl is mostly Boss Borot for example.

The pilots in Cyberbots are cosmetic. Your moves are determined by the model you choose and then the leg unit. So you have bipedal, quadruped/booster, and tank treads as options that provide different movesets/abilities.

There's a bunch of hidden mechs in Tech Romancer you can unlock by playing Arcade mode. A lot are alternate versions of the main cast, but one is Blodia from Cyberbots.

Pat, there's a Mechwarrior online out right now. It's a f2p online game thats currently purely pvp. 12v12 matches in different game modes. A community warfare that will bring some lore is planned in a few months. It's got a steep learning curve though. Not an easy pvp game as there's no 1v1.

Zeon was actually initially independence for space noids from a corrupt earth federation the initial leader was assassinated by the equivalent of the space mafia and they took over. Char Aznabal was the new type master race part of the story but that comes allot later.
