I loved the "Golden retriever.." clue as well. I did today's in 19:30 so quite proud of it.

I was largely confused by this one, but I did start around midnight, so I thought I’d wait for Chris.

I struggled with the NW corner too, but once I got going it flowed similarly smoothly for me. Fun one!

Hearing 'Phaedrus' come out of Chris Remo's mouth in 2024 activated a sleeper cell inside my brain

phaedrus what are you doing in thr NYT crossword puzzle

Could you explain what's interesting about the reference? All I found on a quick online search was something regarding Plato, but nothing specific.
@tomaterr202 ай бұрын
@@domojestic4155 Phaedrus was a long running bit on the Idle Thumbs video game podcast series, first appearing on the GDC 2010 episode titled 'GDC 2010: Phaedrus 2010' due to Will Wright's talk that year which listed the speaker as Phaedrus originally. Phaedrus later returned with the 'thisisphaedrus' youtube channel, which put out two videos. It's not really that funny, and you can probably tell now why it wasn't explained, but now you know. Phaedrus out

Absolutely crushed this one. It took me less than half as long as the Thursday. I don’t know, this one hit me right. The golden retriever clue was a stroke of genius.

That clue gave me mixed emotions. I figured it out immediately without crosses, but I couldn't remember his last name

And I happen to know the name of Caligula's horse that he attempted to make a senator or consul. It would be Incitatus.

This one killed me, even worse than yesterday. It's fun to see how fast it can be solved by a better puzzler.

Athletics tracks aren’t perfect ovals, but some car racing tracks are ovals or “tri-ovals”
