Although very successful, Stallone as an actor is very underrated. The scene in First Blood where he breaks down emotionally and tells Colonel Trautman the story about his dying friend in Vietnam is one of the best performances ever in the history of cinema.
@jazzman2516 Жыл бұрын
Agreed. What a beautiful scene.

How is he underrated? He's massively respected and admired globally. What a strange comment
@Buccaneer1968 Жыл бұрын
@@ryanrobinson8682 Nobody is saying that he isn't respected or admired. As an actor he is underrated. He won't show up in anyone's top ten list of actors from his era like Pacino, De Niro or Hofman. Yet his performance in First Blood is outstanding and especially the ending is one of the best dramatic scenes put on film.

That and the Mick death scene. Absolutely capable and just had a vision.

I’ve seen that movie plenty of times and like the scene; HOWEVER, it is kind of hard to make out the words he says in that scene, in my opinion. He kinda hasn’t broken out of that action hero mold though, but he’s still an iconic actor.

He said that Sylvester Stallone was in every way a nice kind and gentle genuine Gentleman!!! Got to know him abit. Had pictures taken with him and rocky's wife. Anyway its nice to know that truely nice people are in this industry... He really did it on his own!!! Very inspirational... Keep Rocking Rocky!!! Listening to Slys story of his father. I used to work in a yard in Bilston West Midlands England. and in the daytime the travellers used to drive their trucks in the yard and drop the scrap metal into a pile where they would sit all day separating the copper the brass the steel and the aluminium.. Each had different values when weighed in. One of the travellers old Joe lived in the yard in a caravan and he had a horse and cart.. He used to go to the pub each evening and come back hammered.. Sometimes we woukd work to late in the evening and see him come staggering back . One night as he staggered down the yard the horse raised up at him and with one sharp blow he punched the horse on the nose and it fell to the floor. Joe must have been strong as an ox. and he was in his late 70s close to 80..True story
