Hi Grace! I had such a good time at the Sewing Expo!! I really enjoyed the classes I took from Lorraine Henry on fitting. My class day was on Thursday but I did manage a little shopping during the lunch break. I only took 2 of Lorraine's fitting classes this year and they were both on the same day -- one in the morning and one in the afternoon. And then I was back again on Friday with my sister-in-law to just shop around and meet up with the fridaysews group. Oh, and, of course, to see you in the fashion show!! It was great to see so many sewing sisters this year!

What a great review of the Expo and lots of bits I hadn't seen, I didn't actually get to see much of it. Those quilts were amazing, I don't know of Nancy being in the UK but she was obviously very inspirational to many people. It was amazing meeting you, the other KZbinrs and viewers. I honestly was blown away by my gifts, thank you so much ❤. Interesting about the classes as I had heard others say the same thing from previous years. Thanks again 😘

Carole, It was pure joy to meet you also! You are so beautiful. So wonderful to connect with a sewing friend from across the pond!!! The internet is a blessing! I'm glad you liked the gifts. I made them with love 💖 Also, you can still find Nancy Zeiman on KZbin with her old shows from PBS. I learned a lot from her and I have a stack of her books on sewing and serging. She's a sewing star always. I was blessed to get a photo with her before she passed away. Always a sewing ICON. I'm looking forward to seeing your creations and sharing mine in the coming months. How lovely it is of you to take the time to video the Expo so we could all see what it's like! OH, YAY!!!!!!!!! Thank you for posting more video from the EXPO! So glad you got to meet Jen, Trish, Carole, and the other ladies and that you had a wonderful time. Love your coral, red and black ITY knit. Can't wait to see what you end up making. Can you tell us what pattern you used to make your flamingo bag, please? Great bag! Hi Dori. The flamingo bag is by Aunties Two. It's called the Poppins Bag auntiestwo.com/portfolio-view/at628-little-poppins-bag-2/ They had a booth there at the EXPO. I will definitely do a video tutorial on the Post-it holders but it's an embroidery In-the-Hoop project. Do you have an embroidery machine? Also, Tom is pretty cool. I guess I'll keep him around! @@sewlovelywithgrace So sorry! You did mention in your video the name of your flamingo bag pattern. I was trying to multi-task while your video was playing and missed that part. The Aunties Two website directs people to another website for individual purchases, where there is a mini-Poppins, little-Poppins and I believe one other bag pattern size. What size is your bag? As for the Post-It holders, unfortunately I don't have an embroidery machine, but I think it's a great gift idea. Would like to make myself one some day. ☺ My Baby Lock Crescendo does some lettering, but I've not played with that feature yet. Yes, the Baby Lock embroidery machine you filmed at the EXPO was amazing! Had to wipe the drool off my chin! LOL! BTW: I'm probably going to be moving (retiring) to the Melbourne, FL area from San Diego, CA within the next 4-6 months. Way too expensive to retire here!!! I'm currently getting my house ready to go on the market within the next 2-4 months. Would be wonderful to meet you and the other #FridaySews ladies one day. Do you know if the Sewing & Quilting Expo is that an annual event in Lakeland, or was this a one-time event there? Really enjoying your channel and new #FridaySews coffee mug. 🥰 Your YT videos keep getting better and better!

Dori, My flamingo bag is the Little Poppins bag. The post-it note project is an In-the-Hoop project all done on the embroidery machine. So you'll be moving on the East coast of Florida and I live on the West coast of Florida. Maybe we could meet at the EXPO next year. That's somewhere in the middle! I'm so glad you are enjoying my channel. I am enjoying the sewing community and sharing my experiences and makes. Have a great week!!
