As a grandparent who had grandkids duty pretty regularly as they grew up, it was more like “we GET to see the boys overnight! Finally!” Then it is them watching the kids. Never once did it feel like it. Always got more out of it than the parents did without them. I’m pretty sure it’s a universal grandparent thing. We ❤ them! Still do. Just not overnights any longer, ones grown, one is about to leave the nest. Take care, may the sunshine last for you.

Well…that was a month pa led in a week! What an awful lot you got up to! I will confess sewing envy over the weekend away. What a LOVELY idea! It was such a fun week! The boys love those hats and look so cute. Plus, what I didn’t appreciate initially, they’re super bright . So they really easy to spot!!! I love that kielo! What a fun week you had off. Great to have some time off from your normal routine. Loving the GBSB as well. The transformation challenge is my least favorite as well, but I’m always amazed at what the contestants create. Don’t be afraid of going down the quilting “rabbit hole”. I love quilting, but sewing clothes is still my favorite hobby. Wowsers - you’re brave to do that slide. Delighted for your family adventure!

Your eucalyptus Kielo is fab! So glad you had such a wonderful time at the retreat. How did you do without the boys around for a portion of the weekend? All of your new fabrics are perfect for your planned makes. The olive green shorts will go with most everything! And the yellow cardigan looks heavenly. Your new eyelashes look natural which is no mean feat, as you know. Loved the daily vlogs!

Thanks for sharing your lovely week off. I have a week off at the end of June. I would love to spend the week sewing, but my husband is retired and wants to get out on some dayntrips. Hopefully we can compromise. Here is Canada where i live we won't get to watch the Sewing Bee until the fall or early winter. My wonderful grownup kids bought me The Great British Sewing Bee The Modern Wardrobe book. The sewing retreat looked like so much fun. I would love tomdo something like that.

Very disappointed in this vidrr. I loke to take notes and write down pattern names and companies so I can order those I like. Tried to do that but had no idea what you were rwferring to and finally gave up about 7 minutes in and skimmed through transcript. No info there so am going on to another channel. Would help tremendously if you included a list of patterns and companies you talk about.
