For crochet I can't recommend Hooked by Robin enough. She's a fabulous teacher and has beautiful patterns. The Orage top is gorgeous, that shade of red looks lovely on you.

One of the things I love about fiber arts is there's always something new to learn. My wardrobe is looking fairly complete so I have recently taken up sock knitting. I am also in the planning stage for making a cleo blouse that I want to add some needlework on the front yoke. I have never embroidered before so that will be a fun challenge. I can cut out those pattern pieces and try the embroidery and if it doesn't work out I will just cut new pieces. That takes the pressure off. Your daughter's pjs are adorable. Love your modifications to the dress pattern. That will be a lovely elevated t-shirt as the weather warms up.

Sock knitting sounds fun, I have seen some lovely pairs of knitted socks out r there, I hope you are enjoying it. Am embroidered blouse sound really pretty and like you say a fun challenge, I hope it goes well. Thank you I really enjoyed making the pjs for my daughter and I’m glad to have squeezed that t-shirt out of the scraps 😊

Hi Cath! Your daughter 's PJ looks so cute! I'd Actually love to make one for myself😊 You did a fantastic job with the orage dress, it looks fabulous and it's definitely a different style from what I've seen you wear in the past. Lastly, It's a coincidence that you're tackling crocheting as I am too. So I'd like to thank you for providing the links. It'll be like learning crochet with a friend.😉 I'm looking forward to seeing the finished project.

Hi Cath - enjoyed your Friday sews. I like the chatty videos. Fun to see all the things you are doing and plans. Good to hear you are making progress with your crocheting. I crocheted a lot in the past but never got the hang of knitting. Maybe someday I will try knitting again. But right now between sewing and doing counted cross stitch, I am kept busy. Take Care.

Thank you for your vlog … it’s great to see you on a Friday 😊. I like how you are using as much of your fabric as you can … it’s something I need to do more of! I love to crochet… it’s something I learned as a very small child with my Grandma- I’d much prefer to crochet than knit 😂, but I still haven’t mastered the join as you go … I struggle to get my brain and hands to work it out! If you ever fancy working on a blanket have a look out for Attic 24 (it’s a blog) - there’s lots of beautiful different blankets made with some fabulous colour combinations.

Hey Cath your crochet looks great! I struggled with crochet from knitting too then one day it just clicked. It’s definitely in the tensioning. Thanks for the pattern recommendations in this video. As always ☺

Thank you very much! I was so happy when crochet started to click for me, it's funny how it just happens isn't it. I agree, the tension makes a huge difference. Thanks so much for watching!

I really admire your perseverance with crochet. I’m a knitter and I have tried several times to crochet without success (even with one to one tuition) - it is a tension thing I think. But you have inspired me to at least think about trying again. But will have to wait til I have finished my current knitting and sewing projects. Love your makes as always ❤
@madebycathcraft Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much. Yes I’ve struggled with crochet tension before too, I’ve been working on how to hold the thread this time round to get better control. Good luck if you decide to fry again, happy sewing and knitting in the meantime 😊❤️

A very nice Friday video. I enjoyed it and I love the pj's, they are super cute. I crochet, but I don't knit. I have tried knitting several times but just can't wrap my head around the process. Maybe I should try again.
@madebycathcraft Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much 😊 It’s taken me a few times to get to grips with crochet. I think now I’ve got the hang of how to hold the thread to achieve a fairly even tension, that’s helped a lot to get me started. Good luck if you decide to try again 😊

Hi Cath, A few days ago, I bought the TATB Agnes pattern, PDF version, partially based on your enthusiasm for the pattern. I really love the ruched detail on the front and sleeves. After I printed out the pattern (shocked and very disappointed that a newly-released pattern didn't have layers!), I find that there aren't any stitching lines or end points for the ruching on the sleeve or pattern front. I'm wondering if this is a "typo" in the new PDF version. Can you look at your printed version and confirm that the stitching lines and end points for the ruching are definitely there on the printed pattern. Thanks so much!

Brill vlog,I really enjoyed.I love crocheting.Instead of trying to master other stitches why don't you make a jumper or cardi using the stitch you know. There are lots of vlogs that show clothes crocheted from simple basic shapes that you then crochet together.
