Yes, I’m the same - a list of future makes as long as my arm - always being amended and added to. Looking forward to seeing your Ellie & Mac oversized T-shirt - I’ve got that pattern too. I’m making my first one in a plain fabric, but I think either of the fabrics you have in mind will look great. - but the drapier the fabric the better on an oversized T-shirt though maybe? I tried making lists so many times and they got so many amendments and .... oooh, shiny new thing! I have given up on lists. I pull out the fabrics that speak to me and that are seasonally appropriate and then I just go with the flow. I tend to make everything a task and sewing shouldn't be one. it should be fun. I have to remind me of that constantly. (thanks for the shoutout! I would be a Miss Bach in English but yes, you were right!)

You are totally not alone! I want to make all the things too! I daren't write them all down, but let's just say that the patterns have had to be moved to a new home because they were jamming my sewing desk drawer. So there’s quite a few 😂. My resolution at the moment is to prewash all the fabric I've just stuck in my cupboard in the last 6 months, then I might actually work out what I have. T-shirts and T- dresses definitely on the agenda though. Great vlog as ever, thank you, and lovely to hear your Yorkshire accent as it reminds me of home.

You are not alone. I walk into my sewing room and think “ok what shall I do now?” I get overwhelmed and my mind is blank. So I walk out and nothing gets done. Right now I have the Bardon dress cut out and Love Notions LaundryDay Tee Dress I’m working on. I put the neckband on the LDT and taken it off twice, it’s not laying nice so I think I’m making it a V neckline. That’s all I’ve done over three days. BTW they are both free patterns but you probably know that. Your Southport dress looks fabulous. Have a great weekend Val❤️🇨🇦🇬🇧

Regarding the t-shirt fabric, I'd make the boxier tee in the lighter/drapier fabric and the more fitted one in the stiffer/heavier fabric.

I just made an Agnes tee out of a pretty double brushed poly knit. I can make those in my sleep now. LOL The Blanc Tee has been great as well when I only have half yard 60" wide knits.

Other patterns I fancy making are the Sweetheart Knit Top from Gertie Sews Vintage Casual and the Odessa Jersey Top from Pattern Cutters- but they won't be for the challenge because I'm a slow sewist at the best of times and my sewing opportunities are limited! My list just keeps getting longer and I get overwhelmed as feel like I am just not getting around to making all the things I would like to🤪 The Southport really suits you in that color. I also just bought the Spring Dress pattern but can’t decide between that and the Myosotis! ! I would be interested in your opinion 😊 I have made the Kristen kimono tee and feel it runs small and turned out much tighter than I like😬 I have made the BlancTee from Blankslate patterns before and several of their other tees. They are usually a good fit for me. I also really like the Hemlock Tee and have made several and it’s a good pattern to hack. I am planning on making the Solar Tee by Papercut patterns which has the ruffles on the sleeves. Hope the sun continues to shine and you have a great weekend😃

Ruan try a raglan with contrasting sleeves as it does the opposite to what a plain version does, it breaks up the expanse across the shoulders 😀 I made one worth a plain body and floral sleeves so it can help use up big scraps too xx love from someone with the same problem 😂 xx

Great selection of patterns, look forward to seeing your makes. Domtry the frankie tee. I have very broad shoulders, and i find it very flattering if I colour block, so front and back are a paterrn and sleeves are a plain. The curved hem is very flattering .

Did you end up making the Blanc Tee? Depending on the size, you can get it out of leftover fabric! Basically around 70cm or so! I found the Ruska tee to be quite close fitting, so something to consider.

Ruan, I made the mistake of playing your video in front of my sewing machines, who have for their entire lives, been covered in plastic. Not even pretty plastic, it’s leftover from the cleaners plastic. Maybe over 20 years old. So naturally they have FOMO of your fancy new covers, heck, they told me they’d settle for your old ones. Yep, yet something else in the pile of things to sew,the people and now things I sew for……..😂😂😂😂❤️

I've made the Kristen Kimono Tee and I love it. I added one and a half inch cuffs to get a little more coverage for my upper arms but over all I think it's a very flattering tee. I think the more structured knit would make the oversized tee look too boxy, I'd go with the stripes and daisies for that.

Believe it or not I currently have 12 projects cut out and ready to go including 4 t-shirts for the challenge, and here I am quickly running up a Cami (not one of the plans!) So you’re not alone... I love the look of the Spring Dress too and bought it for the exact same reason but just don’t think I’m going to get the wear out of a floaty dress - however much I want to be that floaty dress person 🤣

Regarding the raglan shape, I have very square shoulders, so I made mine in a soft drapey fabric, and loved the flow. Also I lowered the neckline. Once the sleeves are attached just trim away the excess. It has nice shaping through the waist √

I think the stellen t needs a bit of drape. I’ve used a viscose jersey for both I’ve made. I’m not sure about it in a cotton/ lyrca jersey. It is a good pattern.

Yes Heather. I think a lot of people don’t even bother with the buttonholes and just see buttons on to give it the “look” 🤪

Great vlog thank you 😊 I made Southport too and had the same fitting issues. I think it’s designed to be a loose beach cover up in which case it wouldn’t matter, but yours is far too lovely to just throw over a bikini to head to the bar……. dreaming of that day one day soon 🙏

I need to start with the t-shirt’s and then I have lists that I want to make plus my hubby has a list and all three of my daughters have stuff they want me to sew 🤪🤪 but my birthday is June 30th and I took a few days off so my list is first 😂😂 Now what do I want to sew after the t-shirts? Glad you guys are getting good weather. Here in Vancouver 🇨🇦 we are have rain for the next 5 days.

Hi Ruan I have made the dress from the magazine it is lovely but next time I will make it longer and add two ties to the sides the same as the neck ties I mean thin so that it just pulled in under the bust nd ties at the back the sleeves are lovley I am 5 ft win so please measure the finished length Dawn 👗👡👜
