Hi Ruan, love your Southport dress it looks great on you. Great T-shirt plans too! I think I could do with adding a few of those to my wardrobe too. Yes, I’m the same - a list of future makes as long as my arm - always being amended and added to. Looking forward to seeing your Ellie & Mac oversized T-shirt - I’ve got that pattern too. I’m making my first one in a plain fabric, but I think either of the fabrics you have in mind will look great. - but the drapier the fabric the better on an oversized T-shirt though maybe? Happy sewing 🧵😁🧵

I tried making lists so many times and they got so many amendments and .... oooh, shiny new thing! I have given up on lists. I pull out the fabrics that speak to me and that are seasonally appropriate and then I just go with the flow. I tend to make everything a task and sewing shouldn't be one. it should be fun. I have to remind me of that constantly. (thanks for the shoutout! I would be a Miss Bach in English but yes, you were right!)

You are totally not alone! I want to make all the things too! I daren't write them all down, but let's just say that the patterns have had to be moved to a new home because they were jamming my sewing desk drawer. So there’s quite a few 😂. My resolution at the moment is to prewash all the fabric I've just stuck in my cupboard in the last 6 months, then I might actually work out what I have. T-shirts and T- dresses definitely on the agenda though. Great vlog as ever, thank you, and lovely to hear your Yorkshire accent as it reminds me of home.

Right now I have the Bardon dress cut out and Love Notions LaundryDay Tee Dress I’m working on. I put the neckband on the LDT and taken it off twice, it’s not laying nice so I think I’m making it a V neckline. That’s all I’ve done over three days. Regarding the raglan shape, I have very square shoulders, so I made mine in a soft drapey fabric, and loved the flow. Also I lowered the neckline. Once the sleeves are attached just trim away the excess. It has nice shaping through the waist √

I think the stellen t needs a bit of drape. I’ve used a viscose jersey for both I’ve made. I’m not sure about it in a cotton/ lyrca jersey. It is a good pattern.

Can you put the Southport on without unbuttoning it? It looks adorable on you!

Yes Heather. I think a lot of people don’t even bother with the buttonholes and just see buttons on to give it the “look” 🤪

Great vlog thank you 😊 I made Southport too and had the same fitting issues. I think it’s designed to be a loose beach cover up in which case it wouldn’t matter, but yours is far too lovely to just throw over a bikini to head to the bar……. dreaming of that day one day soon 🙏

Yes I know what you mean Paula. I thought the same thing that it would be nice for a beach cover up! 😊

I need to start with the t-shirt’s and then I have lists that I want to make plus my hubby has a list and all three of my daughters have stuff they want me to sew 🤪🤪 but my birthday is June 30th and I took a few days off so my list is first 😂😂 Now what do I want to sew after the t-shirts? Glad you guys are getting good weather. Here in Vancouver 🇨🇦 we are have rain for the next 5 days.
