State of Prussia was German-nationalized under Hitler 1933. Prior to that it was its own state even with own citizenship while the German Empire of 1871 was federally structured and kept pretty much its structure even after WWI. In other words, in political structure it was quite similar to e.g. State of Belgium as member in EU, with Brussels where some EU parliament sits. But that doesn't really mean that it would be ok for some alleged EU-nationalist to make Belgium a mere province of some EU-nation-mass. Also many Prussians were pretty much pushed out, or even ended up in KZ. E.g. Otto Braun, former Premier minister of Prussia wasn't really heard out by them allied powers after the war and many pretty much forgot about him while many former nazis kept on spinning some wild story about some alleged German nation even tho even Napoleon Bonaparte acknowledged that a Prussian nation exists. So in such terms, that end of Prussia as state wasn't justified, and in my view not all in the past albeit all of course not really a reason for Prussia to be as if almost 300 hundred years ago.
