Question, if you're still checking: Re: "Give the compressor a few months to settle in" - why is that? I thought the gurgling/whooshing sound is just the refrigerant equalizing through the tubes when it first comes on. Should that sound really last more than a few seconds? What makes it so the first few months make the compressor louder?

My fridge/freezer has a very full intermittent beep. It doesn’t go away as soon as the power is switched off but does disappear when the super cool button is pressed. Immediately comes back when super is deactivated. Nothing is blocking airways and seals seem intact

I've moved in this place and it's been 3 weeks...daily at different times we hear straight up growling. It sounds like a sasquatch was shot in the stomach and dying. The first weekend I called the leasing office and asked if the guy next door has some kind of chronic pain because I almost called 911 this k he was injured.

Hi, I have the FFA70 hotpoint Fridge/Freezer. The warning light for Freezer High temperature has came on! The freezer is still working, but I did notice the top shelf in freezer, was not keep the foods frozen. I checked the fan behind, it works. There is not a lot of ice over the pipe work, which would suggest to me the element and sensor are working. So it’s defrosting. What do you think is going on ?

Mine sometimes sounds like a frog and other times like a wailing ghost. I doubt that's normal. I booked a repair team to come have a look at it. These noises started after it has been repaired for a new thermal fuse.

Hi, I have a Hotpoint Ariston refrigerator bought in 2016 (I think) and for a few days and a few days ago it started making two very strange noises in particular and that prompted me to turn off the fridge out of fear. the first noise is like the "crack bangs" you showed at the minute 1:31 and the thing that worried me is that you said it makes that noise when the ice comes off, but the refrigerator, it doesn't make ice. and second love is hard to explain. it's a vibration that comes slowly then quickly becomes quite strong and to make it stop you have to turn off the refrigerator, then turn it back on again and that noise stops on its own after a few seconds but it's very strange because it's not among the noises you showed, please give me an answer because I'm very worried and worried that it's not normal. Please give me an answer because I would like to understand if this is normal

Clean the shaft of the motor. Mine had hair around it. Fixed it. Also swapped the grommets from back to front (no difference). Oiling didn't help.

I am in two minds whether to get a new fridge. It gives off a noise like a ball bearing dropping on the hard floor 3 or 4 times a day. It is not like the “crack bang” heard in the video because it is only in one syllable. Any idea what could be wrong?? No problem with the cooling.

This is a design flaw in modern fridge freezers in my opinion! Our Hotpoint fridge freezer makes a ridiculous amount of "norma"l noise for an item constantly in use in a general living space. Older fridges I remember never did this!
