I've lived in the Deep South US my entire 55 years. Frog legs have always been part of our diet, although we didn't get them as often as we would have liked. Catching/hunting/gigging frogs is hard work. I assumed everyone likes frog legs, but I've been shocked to discover many Americans simply can't get past the idea of eating frogs! IMO it's the perfect combination of chicken and seafood, and I marvel that everyone doesn't love them! Good video.

When I was a kid...a hundred years ago...frog legs were a great treat for us. My Dad was a hunter and brought these home to feed the family. Hard to get these days, at least around here. If I find them on a restaurant menue, I order them. LOVED this...brought back a lot of memories.

Where chicken came from is beyond me, maybe texture wise a little. I'll let you know how the recipe turned out since I just went to Fry's and bought a couple pounds. Thanks for sharing.

Great recipe but I personally turn my batter red with the hot sauce. Here in Texas, every time it comes one our blue northers we get the old reel mower out and go down to the stock tank and harvest the legs because the frogs get frozen as soon as they try to jump in the tank and the legs are sticking straight up.
