including Echoes and dlc, the game has 82 characters. EIGHTY TWO. add to that, Alph and the Koopalings (who are technically alt skins but have their own voicelines and anouncer lines and stuff) male/female alts, alternate costumes like builder Mario, characters as alt skins like dark link and mii costumes (which i get arent really enough for a lot of people but they're as close as those characters are going to get to being playable this time), i struggle to see how people could look at the roster and say 'yeah but no Geno tho'

Not sure where they're getting that Spirits or Mii Costumes deconfirm characters. K. Rool has a spirit and Chrom has a costume in Ultimate, so it really doesn't matter at this point. Also, Matt's right. R.O.B. is related to video games, so he counts as a video game character. Goku getting in would make absolutely no sense.

Isaac is one of those characters I really love, but never thought he would be popular enough to get into smash. I was actually amazed when I found out that a pretty sizeable chunk of people wanted him too.
