In India, we have been taught to reuse a thing until and unless it can't be used in any other way 😂 Like if a cloth is not wearable...we use it as a mop or to cover something etc. If a toffee jar is empty, we use it to store something else. It's in our culture. I don't throw away a sandal or shoes unless its impossible to wear it and can't be repaired more. And NO, IT DOESN'T MEAN WE ARE POOR 😅

Because it's part of our lifestyle. We believe in making the utmost use of everything we have. If it can be repaired why not ? I am personally very careful rather I am the mom in my house in these matters, it really pisses me off to take things for granted and just throw it out due to minor issue when it can solved. That's Indian Jugaad. Proud jugaadu Indian here 😌🇮🇳✨🙏.

Foreign media used to say 'India a poor country having 1.4 billion people, So many proverties blah blah but we feel proud of our nation especially the people whom we see everyday in our lives. They never failed to bring smiles on our faces. We have different cultures, different religious people, different clothing, different foods from North India to south and east india to west but in our heart there's a common thing we are indians 🙏

Thank you for this video. We have been stereotyped for decades thinking we are poor for being resourceful. We have learnt how to make haste from waste throughout our lives. That's how we can survive with little in absolutely everything. You'll see people can wear same shoes for decades honestly coz we repair and reuse it until it's absolutely worn out and become unrepairable. Also if we aren't using it for any reason, we give it to someone who wants to use or in need and don't just throw away. Same with clothes or anything else. I truly appreciate you showing this side. It's not about poverty for us that's how we're built, use something to it's optimum level.

When i was a child i used to go with mom to get chappals repaired....gold memory....this video made me happy, think and sad at same time❤
