It's about time you get the show back on the road JP. I was getting worried you lost your go pro or something. This is by far one of my favorite channels . JP is all about the bees! Got me 3 hive set ups on CL this summer, ordered a suit and a smoker, hope to get two nucs next spring, can't wait till I get the bug.

Hey Jp. just want to say I really enjoy your vids and they have helped me start to get into bee keeping. I purchased a hive and some gear and a established colony of bees. I'm in Nova Scotia Canada so I know its going to be a little different then what you do but I'm excited.

Well, now I have a question. The queen can sting, right? If she does sting, does she die?

Queens rarely, rarely sting humans, their stingers are more wasp like not barbed like the worker bee, so if they did sting a human or other soft bodied animal, they would not lose their stinger. Further, it is the virgin queen that uses its stinger to sting & kill other virgin queens that haven't hatched out of their cells yet. Great question!
