Why should she be entitled to give him anything after they "parted ways"? That's like me trying to claim an additional salary from the Starbucks I worked at 5 years ago. Oral contracts are legitimate, but what needs to be taken into consideration is the length at which the contract lasts. Since they "parted ways" then isn't it assumed that their oral contract had been mutually broken by either party and any earnings she received afterwards (regardless of their oral contract) are completely hers and not her managers.
