Kudrow also slipped in a mention of the short-lived, stupid , U.S. daytime "soap-opera" named "Santa Barbara" which due to its proper name, title _alone_ was picked up by foreign networks for airing abroad. It played in France for years(mid 1980's+) even though there was *nothing* to distinguish it from not only far superior fare in the daytime soap category but certainly better product among the prime-time television programs available for purchase. except that the show contained the name of an american locale in its title it became a popular choice. That was its selling point to French execs NOT the quality of the programming combined with the lower price tag for crappy daytime soaps

7:21 - Anyone else catch Lisa's quick sad deflation when Conan says "We'll be right back with Jewel!"…? At first I thought she was just disappointed in how she did in the segment or something. Then I was thinking for a second she was irritated at having the spotlight taken off her at the last moment. After rewatching a few times, though, I'm thinking she was experiencing self-esteem issues there and thinking she wouldn't look attractive seen "back-to-back" with Jewel? *EDIT:* I'd just learned recently about Lisa and Conan being old friends. Just read in the comments below that they were also ex-lovers. So I guess even though Lisa was about to get married in this interview, there might have been a jealousy component there too, especially if Conan had ever mentioned to her in private that he finds Jewel attractive. I suppose it's also possible her look didn't indicate sadness, just relief at being done with this segment, and she dropped her TV smile a little too early.
